Just curious about what anyone thinks about anything.

molvanja,

i voted for capitalism. nothing is perfect and for whatever reasons capitalism has outlived nai've communism and monarchism. Communism only should be on a small scale, like a village. e.g. commune-ism. Projecting something that works well on 30 people onto 300 million, well, errr. and has been proved. Arguments of "that wasn't real communism" is dumb for many reasons/

there are many problems with capitalism, it's short-term and everything must conform to money making.

Heh had to vote monarchist cuz well you can have monarchy with any economic system. A bad monarch is bad but a good one is very very good. Capitalism is inevitably imoral and vulgar and Communism while well intentioned is unworkable. Monarchy probably prevailed longer over all than any other form of governement.
Monarcy gives people the symbolism they so deeply crave and under proper conditions the trained, dedicated leadership they need. Monarchy has worked in large and small nations, and has been sucessful more often than not, and at least unobjectionalble most of the time, something which can't be said for either Communism or Capitalism. A monarch is in the ideal position to take the bad side out of any system of economics.

The best sysytem would be capitalism with democracy and with a strict control of the market by the state (which would be accountable to the people of course) in order to prevent the tendency for monopolies, to protect the week segments of society, the consumers, and the environment.

I think the poll is not well designed. "Capitalism" defines the economic organization, "monarchy" the political organization and "communism" both of them. For example, UK is a capitalist country and a monarchy and China is half-capitalist half-communist in economy and communist in political organization.
