Title: Discovery!
Description: Jump in Space Program
Molvanja - May 5, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
Zjerbi Regional Laboratories-An event worthy of the history books has happened in the Zjerbi Regional Laboratories today. Scientists Czez Vaduz and Rokko Zalbo have discovered something in the lab's Particle Accelerator: a method of making matter move at speeds faster than the speed of light. The announcement has yet to be made to the world, and we are hoping the rest of the Balkan region will aid us in finding a safe enough method of using this technology. We cannot have nations from other regions going off half-cocked and killing innocent people for the purpose of science. We need to keep this affair Hush-Hush until more research is done. We are hoping this will help in creating a more peaceable way to advance into space and find a cure for some of the world's most serious issues. Please respond to this! Big find!
Edessia - May 6, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
King Raymond and King Balthazar personally write: We, the people of Edessia find that, a discovery such monumentous proportions would galvanize the entire human society. We would personnally like to make Edessia a prime backer, if not the sole backer for such an adventure into the research, no matter how many years it takes and how much money, we are going to get this thing done. consider Edessia as your money behind the mind, also if you dont mind we'd like to send a team of our best physicists to aid in research and work in tandem.

Secret IC:
MostarCorp HQ, Eastern Mostarvia
"They're a bit behind in their research are they not?" remarked one mid thirties Mostarvian female scientist with genuine surprise to her older male colleague upon hearing of the Molvanja announcement.
"Yes, but then again, laziness in research gets you nowhere but light years behind." quipped the second Mostarvian scientist with a wry smile on his face.

Edessia: Your help is greatly appreciated and we would like some help to find a way to turn a discovery such as this into a practical application. We need uranium, scientists, and access to a launch facility. We are planning one, but this is currently using all of our science budget. No worries; no nuclear weapons manufacture intended!
Mostarvia: WTF! What the hells do you mean when you say "Behind in our Research"? Get some power prepped, man, you are in for a pounding!

Well, Mostar, do you wish to assist us? We are researching this for the name of Peace and international tranquility! If you know something, tell us! Please! You're breaking up the band, Yoko!
Edessia - May 7, 2005 07:11 PM (GMT)
Well, not since what ahs becoem known as "The Incident" has Edessia frequently used their launch sites, but we ahve plenty of nuclear warheads and large, fresh supplies of Uranium coming in from the mines, we could strip the warheads and enrich the raw uranium, and provide you with as many Launch sites as you need, we figure, if we can take away all your accessory worries and financial problems, you can focus more of the science budget to your research. Though we do inquire about the need for launch sites. If rocket launch sites arent ideal, we can construct specific launch sites, or retrofit these existing sites to your needs. We would definately liek to be a prime benefactor.
Commonwealth of Slavic Byzantium - May 8, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
Slavic Byzantium has an extensive Space Program and we are quite intrigued by this. Our one question is what you mean by matter. Do you mean this coudl be used as an engine to travel amongst the stars? Do you mean that you managed to get a few atoms to do this? Tachyons are soemthing we already know of and their lowest theoretical possible speed is infintesmally slightly over the speed of light.
If it could full well led to FTL engines, we will provide you with whatever you wish and would like to send our own scientists to conduct joint research and all the funding you require. Within the next generation or two we could be exploring the stars instead of having colonies on the Moon and Mars and exploring only Sol System.

Official Mostarvian Government Statement:
The President, on behalf of the government and people of The People's Red Mostar Union Of Mostarvia feels such offering of assistance to Molvanja would not be beneficial to Mostarvia, only to Molvanja, seeing as Mostarvia has it's own, long established advanced space programme.
Goran Landivic,
The People's Red Mostar Union of Mostarvia Foreign Affairs Minister
OOC: Actually it was Paul who broke up the band. ;) He was, and still is, a selfish wazzock. The most talented were John and George. They wrote the best songs.
Molvanja - May 8, 2005 04:14 PM (GMT)
Edessia-There is no need to strip your warheads, but thank you anyway, and we need only one launch facility. It needs to be large and well-equipped, and we are building a large Atomic Testing and Space Flight Launch Facility at Sprodjz in the Molvanjan Alps. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Slavic Byzantium-Yes, we did get atoms to travel past the speed of light. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in researching more into this occurence. Indeed, in a generation or two the technology could be so refined as to leave the Sol System. We are planning a probe to use these engines and see if it works. Other planets could be mere months away!
Mostarvia-Damn you! Well, I have to agree about the Beatles issue, though. Paul was, and still is, a pig. The two best have both been (basically) murdered. John was shot and George was stabbed by a burglar who punctured his right lung. Harrison died a week later.

OOC: Well actually, George did not die of being stabbed, but of that must horrible illness, cancer, a couple of years after. However I agree with your sentiments, as I feel George was severely weakened after the stabbing.
USSM (Makharovsk) - May 11, 2005 04:57 PM (GMT)
We would be very interested in contributing our scientific and/or logistic resouces to this project.
OOC: I don't know a thing about the Beatles, though. ;)
Molvanja - May 11, 2005 07:05 PM (GMT)
Makharovsk, your help would be greatly appreciated. We need all the help we can get on this project, it is a huge undertaking, but we are confident.
