Description: no I'm not tired ... Really! .....
Katja of Zahumlje - February 10, 2005 05:54 AM (GMT)
Excellencies
Please pardon the error of the previous information. I'm so tired I can hardly move. I rode on a crowded train over a bad rail line in the snow. I'm so tired I feel like I am going to be sick and my vision is still blurred.
I'm getting too old for this stuff...

The Kingdom of Slavpo - February 10, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
nema problema Katja. Slavpo will keep an observance on Mostaria and Mostarvians. This development in Mostaria will prove to be a challenge for the entire region, especially those who border Mostarvia.
Byzantian - February 10, 2005 12:37 PM (GMT)

Official People's Red Mostar Union of Mostarvia statement:
Firstly, no hard feelings are held by us for mistaking Mostarvia for Monfortslavia.
It is not the first time that has happened, you are not the first. :)
The situation in the Srebnyia region of Mostarvia is indeed serious, but it is hoped that the situation will soon be pacified and order restored.
I personally thankyou all for your governments pro-active stance on closing borders.
However, I do request that borders outside the Srebnyia region of Mostarvia remain open for trade between our countries.
The situation in the Mostarvian region of Srebnyia has sadly not been helped so far by Hrvatska and Annoyastan, who have not responded to my calls for them to tighten their border controls.
I will conclude by saying that I, along with my people and government, have full confidence in our fine military to....handle the situation concerning the thugs and bandits in the Mostarvian way for the continuing peace and unity of Mostarvia, and that the civil unrest is not widespread throughout Mostarvia, but in the Srebnyia region where these killers reside.
People's Red Mostar Union of Mostarvia President Lodovan Lodovic
Katja of Zahumlje - February 10, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
Excellencies: Her Majesty's government have gone with full border closure to all but verified refugees, due to the danger of entering by the Srebenje region as we value the lives of our truckers and trainmen, This doesn't affect air traffic as routeing can be done to bypass the problem. Her Majesty basically says that she hopes the situation can be controlled soon. The weather in that region is very severe. The Zahumljani side of the border is increadably snowed in. People have been having a very hard time. Tanks have had to be used to re;open some of the roads. Even simple things like telephone lines have been affected.
Best Wishes

Excellencies: Repatriation of Mostarvian refugees from the Srebeniya region has begun. This is nearly as difficult as their entry into Zahumlje was, because the severe winter conditions have not let up by much. Of course BAHHB is helping in this matter, as helping them go home safely is the ideal solution of the problem now that peace is restored.

Byzantian - February 20, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
Given the information about the severe weather in the region, we will add a further $20million to assist the re-settling of refugees directly to those on the ground.
Katja of Zahumlje - February 20, 2005 05:56 AM (GMT)
Excellency: The Governement of Byzantian has been most generous, it will help us get those refugees back home faster, and ensure their comfort.
Thanks very much!

Edessia - March 2, 2005 02:06 AM (GMT)
BREAKING NEWS
Today, 4 Mostarvian soldiers, 2 civlian-soldiers and 5 Edessians were killed today. In a series of car and suicide bombings, plus insurgent gunfire soon after, erupted a major firefight, between Srebniyan nationalists and Joint Mostarvian/Edessian and Armed Mostarvian Civlian Supporters. It happened early in the morning, at about 430 am, a roadside car, aparently remote detonated on the side of a street, killing one Mostarvian soldier and injuring some nearby. Then 4 men came running from different directions, one actually jumped out a second storey window and detonated themselves over Mostarvian and Edessian forces. It is estimated 4 Edessian soldiers and 2 Mostarvians were killed in that attack. Soon after, for about 6 hours, gun fighting and intense street combat ensued. A Rocket propelled grenade was fired by the Civlian Soldiers at a second story window, where a handful of Srebniyan forces were hiding, a quarter of the building was blown off by the rocket propelled Grenade, estimated to have killed 8 Srebniyans. The Civilian Soldiers came out of no where apprently and saved a squadron of Edessians close to the building, in the firing area of that second storey window. In gun combat 1 Mostarvian and 1 Edessian later lost their life, as they were fighting side by side, when they were ambushed by a hidden entrenched machine gunner position ripped into their sides with a .30 cal soviet era machine gun. That hidden nest was later destroyed by an Edessian Grenade. Later after the combat, an estimated total of 23 Srebniyan soldiers lost their lives in the attack, but that number is still unconfirmed. Afterwards, the Citizen Soldiers were taken in by Edessians for questioning as to their knowledge of the events,a nd whether or not these many are linked to the group that has been aiding Edessian forces. Further on this story as it develops. Back to you Jane, at the desk.
This is also psoted int he msotarvian srebniyan indpenace thread in inter-regional relations. I psoted here to raise awareness of the evnet, partly and partly out of confusion.
