Title: Revival of DCR
Phekny (Colony of DONRL) - January 8, 2005 06:56 AM (GMT)
It looks like we need to get the ball rolling here. Any suggestions on a specific topic will be welcome. Also I just wanted to make a post and the other threads do not concern Phekny at this time. In the name of Capitalism, we must revive this forum!

Thanks to Phekny.
The region also has the Free Trade forum in which big business and tantalising trade deals and made and paid.
ok i'll start. Why do YOU like Capitalism and why is your nation Capitalist?
Edessia - March 2, 2005 01:53 AM (GMT)
I liek capitalism, becasue its a very free system, individuals can move to and fro from organization to organization, business to business and endeavor and endeavor without being looked at as greedy, and can do it freely and smoothly. Less red tape involved for getting things done, in a socialist or communist regime, it takes 6 months to get any sort of change approved, because it ahs to go through all levels of management including the federal planning commitee and whatnot, by that time, the change is already outdated. In a capitalist society, the person with the idea, jsut has to have the will power and determination to get soemthing done, and changes can happen over night. Capitlism allows one to change, adapt and lead the flow, at a whim and be on the cutting edge, without dragging the government into absolutely every facet of life. The technology gets better, the condition of life improves and people can succeed or fail by their own merits, and have no one to blame afterwards but themselves, Capitalism allows one to be in control of his or her own destiny and create the life they want. The individual is the base unit of soceity and the individual must be protected and givent he right to roam. That's why were capitalist.

I like capitalism because it gives appropriate awards for hard work and good ideas, unlike in socialist or communist societies, where everyone is "equal" and people can do no work, and the government will support them. I think it is only fair, that if you don't do work, you shouldn't get money from the gov't. This only promotes more laziness. No money should be given, and they should get a job or starve. It is their choice. Poor parents who expect money to support their children, should get no money and have their children given to better well off people. And of course the reasons said by Edessia as well.
Byzantian - March 11, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
Well, if you put the hard work in, your going to get something in return. You know what.
Socialism/Communism(what ever you want to call it), doesnt allow this.
What with communal farms and the like.
Is this going to be revived?
We would like to be a part of it very much.
The Bulgarite - March 11, 2005 05:41 PM (GMT)
I like capitalism because it is the only TRUELY free system. It is the only system, that would give the one freedom a man needs - the freedom of action. It is a system that allows every man to persue his own happiness, wherever it may take him. It is a system that allows every man to succeed and fail on their own merits. And it is the only system, that will bring progress and riches to mankind.
Edessia - March 12, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
Couldnt have said it anymore better nor more eloquently then you did, Bulgarite, good job!
Byzantian - March 12, 2005 03:10 AM (GMT)
Nicely put.
But, its big corporations, who donate funds to politicians campaigns, that screw us over in the capitalist system. But hey, no system is perfect, but I would much rather live under the present capitalist system in Australia then any other, which doesnt allow me to have the option/ability to live my own life, how I see fit, or to make my own wealth etc etc.
The Bulgarite - March 16, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
Well, the politicians themselves and all non-capitalists out there aren't making it any easier for us as well.
As for the system, well the problem is in the people not the system itself.

I would just like to add that right now my natoin is suffering a severe iron shortage, due to overmining and inadequate technology to find more. if possible would anybody have about 100 thousand tons available for trade?
Byzantian - March 23, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
We could be able to supply you with iron(iron ore yes?).
However, not in one big hit obviously.
We propose either we sell you iron, or we swap iron for another resource that you have an abundance of. Or, technology which we do not currently posses, both military and other.
Phekny (Colony of DONRL) - March 25, 2005 02:38 PM (GMT)
well we haev alot of lumber and oil/natural gas. Iron ore would be fine. as for technology, it depends on what you need. if you need neither of these, how does $1000 a ton sound working out to about 100 million?
