Bulgarska - December 7, 2004 03:25 AM (GMT)
This is produced by "zavod Sofia" and it is the most modern bomber in the world here are the charakteristiks :
B-2 Spirit (Trutkata)
The B-2 Spirit is a multi-role bomber capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear munitions.
Along with the B-52 and B-1B, the B-2 provides the penetrating flexibility and effectiveness inherent in manned bombers. Its low-observable, or "stealth," characteristics give it the unique ability to penetrate an enemy's most sophisticated defenses and threaten its most valued, and heavily defended, targets. Its capability to penetrate air defenses and threaten effective retaliation provide an effective deterrent and combat force well into the 21st century.
The blending of low-observable technologies with high aerodynamic efficiency and large payload gives the B-2 important advantages over existing bombers. Its low-observability provides it greater freedom of action at high altitudes, thus increasing its range and a better field of view for the aircraft's sensors. Its unrefueled range is approximately 6,000 nautical miles (9,600 kilometers).
The B-2's low observability is derived from a combination of reduced infrared, acoustic, electromagnetic, visual and radar signatures. These signatures make it difficult for the sophisticated defensive systems to detect, track and engage the B-2. Many aspects of the low-observability process remain classified; however, the B-2's composite materials, special coatings and flying-wing design all contribute to its "stealthiness."
The B-2 has a crew of two pilots, an aircraft commander in the left seat and mission commander in the right, compared to the B-1B's crew of four and the B-52's crew of five.
The B-2 is intended to deliver gravity nuclear and conventional weapons, including precision-guided standoff weapons. An interim, precision-guided bomb capability called Global Positioning System (GPS) Aided Targeting System/GPS Aided Munition (GATS/GAM) is being tested and evaluated. Future configurations are planned for the B-2 to be capable of carrying and delivering the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile.
B-2s, in a conventional role, staging from Whiteman AFB, MO; Diego Garcia; and Guam can cover the entire world with just one refueling. Six B-2s could execute an operation similar to the 1986 Libya raid but launch from the continental U.S. rather than Europe with a much smaller, more lethal, and more survivable force

M551A1 Armored Reconnaissance Airborne Assault Vehicle (Sheridan)
The M551 Sheridan was developed to provide the Bulgarska with a light armored reconnaissance vehicle with heavy firepower. The main armament consists of an 152mm M81 gun/missile launcher capable of firing conventional ammunition and the MGM-51 Shillelagh antitank missile (20 conventional rounds and 8 missiles). Due to problems with the gun-tube-launched antitank missile, the Sheridan was not fielded widely throughout the Army. The gun would foul with caseless ammuniton, gun firing would interfere with missle electronics, and the entire vehicle recoiled with unusual vigor when the gun was fired, since the 152mm gun was too big for the light-weight chassis. The Shillelagh missles were evidently never used in anger. In addition to the main gun/missile launcher, the M551 is armed with a 7.62mm M240 machine gun and a 12.7mm M2 HB antiaircraft machine gun. A Detroit Diesel 6V-53T 300hp turbo-charged V-6 diesel engine and an Allison TG-250-2A poweshift transmission provide the Sheridan's power. Protection for the four-man crew is provided by an aluminum hull and steel turret. Although light enough to be airdrop-capable, the alumninum armour was thin enough to be pierced by heavy machine-gun rounds, and the vehicle was particularly vulnerable to mines.
Initially produced in 1966, the M551 was fielded in 1968. 1,562 M551s were built between 1966 and 1970. The Sheridan saw limited action in Vietnam, where many deficiencies were revealed. The missle system was useless against an enemy that employed tanks, though the Sheridan saw a lot of use towards the end of the war because of its mobility. Sheridan-equiped units participated in Operation Just Cause in Panama (1989), and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield. As projectile technology advanced, the Sheridan's potential declined and it was phased out of the US inventory beginning in 1978. However, the M551 is still used by the 82nd Airborne Division. Some 330 "visually-modified" Sheridans represent threat tanks and armored vehicles at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Sofia

Bulgarska - December 9, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
A nation from the Balkans gived us a new order for b2 the nation will not be mantioned (it is her will)
Srpska Kosovo - December 9, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
Don't be too hard on Bulgarksa. It's easy to criticize someone else's posts. I for one commend them for trying to stir up a little activity. If anyone is looking for info on modern military equipment or global security issues, I recommend
http://www.globalsecurity.org I also sometimes use the Federation of American Scientists. I think their address is
http://www.fas.org but I'm not sure. Any of the guidebooks published by Janes are good as well.
Bulgarska - December 9, 2004 04:17 AM (GMT)
Thank you very much for the support it is very hard to get support here :)
-Mostarvia- - December 9, 2004 10:59 AM (GMT)
I did'nt mean to criticise or be mean, sorry.
If you had more modern tanks.....let's say, Leopard 2, Challenger 2, LeClerc, T-98, Chiormy Black Eagle, I think that would get people's attention more.
It's just that the Sheridan is a bit outmoded.
You have to forgive me for being a nerd on Tanks, I quite like them you see.
Byzantian - December 9, 2004 11:47 AM (GMT)
ByzantineNations defence industry is strong, and our armed forces currently have several black project aircraft and weapons systems in service, so we would like to decline the invitation to purchase any hardware from you, for the simple and arrogant reason, we make them better and are more advanced.(no offence).
However, government officials are hinting at purchasing several B2's and tanks, as a show of good will. Also we believe if the purchases are approved within our government, they will help keep your nation stable.
Srpska Kosovo - December 9, 2004 02:56 PM (GMT)
I'm an admitted military hardware junkie myself and I used to get upset with even minor inaccuracies in people's posts when it came to this subject. Maybe I'm getting old, but I now take more of a "live and let live" policy. I've realized that not everyone spends (or wastes) as much time as I do watching the History Channel, History International, Discovery, and reading all the military strategy and foreign policy books and websites I can find.
The Bulgarite - December 9, 2004 08:13 PM (GMT)
Accept my apologies as well. I should have offerd help, as well as criticism. But I assumed that Bulgarska had found a site on military equipment and had just made a bad selection of hardware. Excuse me for my mistake. I will find a way to make up for it. Sorry again.
Bulgarska - December 9, 2004 11:43 PM (GMT)
I agree with all of you i think that i take it very seriously when somebody is not on my possition i will be more detailed in the future and thanks to everyone that you understand me and i will start working on the offers to me imedeatly

Excellent!
How much for the Leopard 2's?
Kosovo, I'm a military enthusiast too, I've been to Normandy and Pegasus Bridge, Caen, and I will be going to the ardennes next year, the site of the battle of the bulge.
Srpska Kosovo - December 10, 2004 03:26 PM (GMT)
I visited Pegasus Bridge and Caen while in Normandy. Caen has a nice military museum and there is a great museum , in St. Mare-Egliese (sp?) I think, that deals with the American Airborne invasion. If you make it to Bastogne, be sure and check out the museum there as well. If you're interested in uniforms, field gear, and weapons, they had a great collection when I was there.
Bulgarska - December 11, 2004 07:42 PM (GMT)
The price is 4 300 000$
ooc ive never been to such places only to local
-Mostarvia- - December 12, 2004 04:00 PM (GMT)
My hotel was in Caen, so that was the base to return to for the group I was with.
Caen does indeed have a nice military museum. I too went to St Marie-Eglise and the museum there! Did you see the parachurist hanging from the church? Not hard to miss!
I went to Bayeaux and Arromanches as well, and saw Mulberry Harbours. They are still there.
Thanks for the tip when I go to Bastogne, I will check it out most certainly.
Bulgarska,
At the moment, I am happy with my huge armies of T-98 and Challenger 2 Tanks, but I may purchase some Leopard 2's in the future. :)
Bulgarska - December 13, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
the t-98 are very good indeed
-Mostarvia- - December 13, 2004 11:41 AM (GMT)
Yep, as is the Challenger 2, and Leopard 2A.
Ramostan - December 13, 2004 02:56 PM (GMT)
To what extent have these three tanks been tested in real combat? We use the Abrams, however are considering the Leopard 2A or another state of the art tank.
-Mostarvia- - December 14, 2004 10:28 AM (GMT)
Leopard A2 has an arrowhead turret, giving it a low, and sleek profile, and hard to spot on the horizon, so is like a stealth tank.
T-98 MBT is a monster, it has a low profile, lower than the Abrams, has a 125 mm gun, although rumours say it will be upgunned to 155mm, the same calibre used by the US on their big howitzers in WW2.
Challenger 2 has Titanium, and is reported to be near indestructible. The Challenger 2's lost in Iraq have been lost from Challenger 2's firing on each other!
Believed to be one of the best, if not THE best tank in the world. Certainly the three mentioned would be all for contention.
