Title: Dictatorship of Italia & Socialist Yugoslovenia
Description: National Collapse, Aid Drive

The Kingdom of Slavpo - November 12, 2004 10:09 AM (GMT)
Attention BAHHB:

The Dictatorship of Italia II has experienced collapse
And surprisingly The Socialist Republic of Yugoslovenia

What does the organisation say the best course of action is?

Byzantian - November 12, 2004 01:17 PM (GMT)
We believe part of any action in this case, should be the deployment of peacekeepers drawn from as many nations as possible. After such an occurance in a dictatorship, there is a higher chance then normal for internal fighting to occur in the wake of the power vaccum left behind.
Of course, financial aid will also be sent. Food, medical, clothing and aid workers.

Katja of Zahumlje - November 12, 2004 06:08 PM (GMT)
Excellencies: The fall of Yugoslovenia is a matter of great concern to Her Majesty's Governement as well. This Nation is an old ally, for a very long time and the silence has been disconcerting and awful.
Aid is being sent, as well as Zahumljani peacekeepers.
Dr. Nura Hodzic
Interim Chair BAAHB

The Bulgarite - November 12, 2004 09:30 PM (GMT)
The FDR of The Bulgarite will send 250 million UBD in humanitarian aid to Yugoslovenia. 60,000 peacekeepers will also be deployed to assist Zahumljani forces.

Thracia - November 13, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
Thracia is ready to offer 200 million UBD for Yugoslovenia relief efforts. We believe that this money could keep the Yugoslovenia government machine running fo rthe next ten days or so.

The Kingdom of Slavpo - November 13, 2004 11:03 AM (GMT)
We are very surprised at Yugoslovenia's sudden collapse. I wonder if their socialism attributed to this? ;)

Slavpo will continue the humanitarian effort, pick up the pieces when socialism collapses. We will continue this into the future while it seems Zahumlje, The Bulgarite and Thracia are very generously seeing to the immediate aftermath of the Republic's collapse.

The Kingdom of Slavpo - November 13, 2004 11:07 AM (GMT)
Italia II, the former dictatorship is being well aided by Byzantian. BAHHB thanks you, Slavpo will assit Byzantian fiscally but we believe it is better for Byzantian to gain experience in the BAHHB for what ever the future may bring.

Byzantian - November 14, 2004 10:44 AM (GMT)
The main contigent of peacekeepers, some 5,000 troops, arrived safely and secured the airport of the former dictatorship of Italia II. Shortly after, another contigent of 25,000 troops arrived, followed by a further 28,000 that following night.

The peacekeepers have begun patrolling major cities, and government buildings are under guard. Oil refineries, mines, museums, places of historical and culturual significance, and the countries basic infrastructure is under protection.

A further 10,000 troops will be deployed to take over protection services of major and important sites, freeing up the bulk of the first 3 contingents to expand patrols to towns and villages and the smaller cities in the country.

Phase3 will be the arrival of aid workers, who will establish which areas need the most aid and what is needed more in which area. Following that, phase 3 will be completed with the delivery of the biggest aid shippments ever from the ByzantineNations government.

We thank Slavpo for allowing ByzantineNations international aid agencies the opportunity to gain further experience and improve on what has been learned so far in other operations.

The Kingdom of Slavpo - November 14, 2004 12:37 PM (GMT)
This has exceeded our personal expectation. Byzantian, you must be thanked you have truly gone above and beyond. Thank You, the people of Italia and the BAHHB thank you.
