FFICIAL CELEBRATIONS OF NEW BORDERS DECLARED FOR FRIDAY

The most important celebrations will be in Mostar, and in Jace. All National leaders of all Balkans and indeed all World Nations are cordially invited. There will be a State Banquet in Bobovac, the Castle near to Jace and a light show and celebration of the cultural diversity of Zahumlje in Mostar. All major cities are sponsoring official celebrations free to the public.

The Entertainments at Mostar will include dance music food and drin and a light show by the Old Bridge, There will be three competions in diving from the Old Bridge the last one to be shortly before the light show.

Prince Manuel, Princess Teodora, Emperor Mikhail and Empress Theodora will come in Zahumlje with (I know you love them) Varangian Guard (that includes Olaf, Harald and Harisson, lol)

The Thracian government is going to be represented in the celebrations by the Speaker of The Parliament, Mustafa Muratbey.

Zahumlje should also expect thousands of Thracian tourists attanding the celeberations.

Excellencies: We hope eeryone will feel welcome!

I am disappointed to inform you that I will be unable to join ithe celebrations as I have e, previous engagements. I will however send an official representative on behalf of the government in Franz Krunt, my personal advisor in matters of foreign affairs.

I will also open the gates to any tourists who wish to visit and take part inthe celebrations.

The Shogun will be pelased to send delegation to this event :)

I am leaving today, and I will be back on Monday. While I am away, Katja has full rp powers of my characters for this celebration. Just use Olaf, Harald, and Harisson, well, cuz they are a bit st00p1d. ;)

PLANS FOR CELEBRATIONS NEARLY COMPLETED....
All the Preparations for the STATE DINNER in Jace, the festivities in Mostar, and the numerous pagents and celebrations accross Zahumlje are now in place. Security will be high, because of numerous expected foreign visitors. Baskets of pennies, flowers or fruit are being confiscated at the crossing points so don't bother bringing them...

Excellencies: We've been through to inspect all places in hte Castle at Bobovac, and choppered down to Mostar to check on readiness there. Everything loos 'tik taf'! The dancers have been rehearsing some special dances in the courtyard all morning, that dance where the guys make a tower of themselves and some other ones.
Theree is going to be a procession in Trg Sveti Katarina in Jace, ad oe in Mostar, right down the former Front Linnes. The Front Lines have been pretty much left as they remained at the end of the disturbaces. The only thing that has been done is to take necessary security measures, so that no one does anything silly.
Reports are in that everything is in place for the State Banquet. All the things customary at such dinners and an assortment of Zahumljani specialities.

We hope everyone has a nice time at the dinner and all t he other festivities.

A delegation from Srpska Kosovo will attend the festivities. This delegation will include:

Darko Lalovic, Deputy Prime Minister
Filip Luksic, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ivan Dinkic, Minister of Diaspora
Vojislav Markovic, Minister of Religion

I apologize that I will not be able to attend personally, but important matters of state neccessitate that I remain in Pristina. I have asked the Minister of Diaspora to meet with any Zahumlje citizens of Serb ancestry that have concerns over the new territorial adjustments. (I am not sure if there are Serbian organizations within Zahumlje, but if there are, then he would also like to meet with their leaders if that is possible.) The Minister of Religion would like to visit Serbian churches within Zahumlje if that is possible. He also will be presenting you with a first edition copy of Dostoevsky on Europe and Slavism by St. Justin Popovich, one of the greatest Orthodox theologians of the 20th century. This work was published in Belgrade in 1940 and addresses the nature and method of theology, and the spirit and vision of western civilization. St. Justin was never fearful of telling the truth concerning the fallen state of humankind and, particularly, the follies of Western European religious and secular life. I hope that you will find this an acceptable gift. It has come to my attention that Zahumlje and Srpska Kosovo have not formally exchanged ambassadors. An excellent location within Pristina has been reserved for your embassy and I hope that we may exchange ambassadors soon.

Excellency: Yes come to think of it there should be an exchange of ambassadors, We appoint Tatijana Zivkovic as Ambassador, she is a Zahumljani of Serb ancestry, in fact her ancestors lived near Grancenica and left with Aresnius. Her family later ended up in Zahumlje. She's a former chair of ZYSL.
There are two Serb orgainizations in Zahumlje, Zajednica Srpski u Zahumlje, and Matica Srpski. The membership and leaders of both organizations will both be delighted to meet with the Minister for the Diaspora. Actually most of the Serb population that were in Zahumlje now are in the new territory of Srpska Kosovo, the Serbs left live in the Captitol, so it's going to be easy to meet with them.
We look forward to reading the book you are sending, as We are a big fan of Dostoyevski in any case. We share some of his concerns about the effects of the West on the Slavic peoples and always wanted to read this book. Thank you!

***ZNN***Thousands of tourists have crossed the borders into Zahumlje for today's festivities which began with due pomp at Jace, which is going to be the Administrative capitol, runnrs with flames, symbolic of Freedom ran in the pre dawn darkness to Milodraz the ancient spiritual capitol of Zahumlje, the place of Coronations and Royal Weddings in the Medieval past, to Mostar to run across the bridge and to th coastal cities.

The Queen gave an adress by Radio Televisija ZAhumlje,

Dear Citizens of Zahumlje, We welcome the citizens of our Re united Realm, We hope to begin an era of greatness, a greatness which will exceed the greatness of former ages in Zahumlje, an age when Zahumljani artists will be the greatest, when Zahumljani prosperity will be the greatest for all in Zahumlje, when there will be peace, in Zahumlje and that peace will spread to others, when there will be justice in Zahumlje and that justice will light the world and be an example. When where ever a Zahumljani goes, his or her passport will excite cries of envy, 'Ah to live in Zahumlje!' instead of whispers of 'poor fellow no wonder he travels abroad.'
This is our dream for Zahumlje, that Zahumlje United and Free will be the LIght of the World, that if someone wishes to know how best to do anything, it will be asked 'And how do they in Zahumlje do this?'
Because in the simplest gestures of daily life you my dear people are the best!
We welcome the many visitors who have crossed into Zahumlje for these celebrations, may all go well with all of you, we hope that you all enjoy your stay here.

Meanwhile in the Servant's Quarters.... Harald Olaf and Harisson are getting a bit bored and a bit thirsty. . . never a good thing...
They can be seen on the security cameras right now, begining a search for some supply of strong alcholic refreshment, after all their employer wanted to prevent problems and cut them off...
While one of them is friendly with the cook, (Remember tha lady who carried in the pig at the last wedding? Thought you did...

Harrison: Alright men, don't be girly men we have to have akavit! We could do with some lutefisk too, don't tell me there is neither in this pile someplace!

Olaf and Harald: (in unison) Shut up you crazy Irishman! you are gonna get us in bad trouble again for sure!'
Harrison: Fine be a couple of Swedish girly men! I'm going to get me some akavit or some vodka or some of that lozo the locals are always on about, and some lutefisk if I'm lucky and maybe I'll get really lucky ....

They sit playing a game of chess with the very nice whalebone pieces. 'We should make this game more interesting..
'You mean play it that crazy Irish way with the dice and betting? '

meanwhile, they get hungry and bored. So they despite their better judgment go in search of Harisson.They blunder along some time, and come to a sign on a glass wall.
The sign says 'OPAZNOST ULAZ ZABRANJENJE' in smaller letters in English, it said ENTRY PROHIBITED' in smaller letters it said 'idiot this means YOU especially!'
This was a big red sign with big unfriendly white letters.
'Why is there such a sign and why does it smell like lutefisk here?'
'Dunno, maybe it's the queen's secret lutefisk stash' 'Queens don't need secret lutefisk stashes! they can have it sent in on ice by chartered jet if they like'

Why does it smell like lutefisk in here/
Well the little alien eats lutefisk, loves it, and his favorite vegetables are peas in cream sauce and baked potatoes with butter and sour cream with dill, and he likes reindeer meatballs pretty good too. The cook tells me that the queen has to special order these things from Stockholm every couple months.
Just then the cook walked in. She had a plate of lutefisk and all the fixings and the little alien clawed loose from Harrison.....
does he get this excited about akavit?

The alien began to screach .
The cook set the plate on the table. all three of them ran for the kitchens. ' I really wish you'd all stayed in the Servants quarters where you belong...I have a HUGE State Dinner and I have all kinds of people to supervise.....

Well just one,and about six roast oxen a couple dozen roast lambs, and a roast deer and a bunch of roast other things.

The cook went to make the things they wanted really fast.

an alarm sounds......louder and louder....
'OH HELL! ' the cook says
'I think the baby got loose!
Horrible loud alarm bells are ringing all over the castle ,and various castle secuiryt prsonel are everywhere...
The Alien baby is no where to be seen...
The search is on, throughout the downstairs portions of the castle.
'How do I get the dinnr to the guests /' Not a problem you know the dumbwaiter?' 'Yes'
'Just put the dishes in the dumbwaiter, and the sevants will take it from there,'
But all those roasted oxen aren't gonna fit!'
The cook opened the dumbwaiter to find......
The Alien Baby, and half a roast sheep.
"YOu mean you eat stuff besides lutefisk?'
They grab the baby and the still steaming knawed half a roast sheep and take him back to his room.
'Srebro, you are a very very bad little boy! I say from now on your name is

***ZNN***In Mostar the diving competion was won by Akmet Sulejmanovic, he won 500 Ducats, and a years supply of high quality lozavaca. The runners up each recieved a yars supply of Malabar Gold ™ coffee.
The dancing was ended abruptly by a radio announcment about the situation in Gurich.
People stood in stunned silence, listening and trying to understand.

Jace; the State Dinner was going along just fine, but then the shocking news from Gurich arrived right in the middle of the moment when the roast oxen were being paraded in for the admiration of the assembled guests. One of the delegation from Gurich required medical attention for shock. No one had much appetite for the lovely feast. No one felt like watching the lovely dancers or hearing the music as t he shock of the news was too great, Zahumljani present tried to comfort the Gurich people present.

In the streets of Jace the sounds of a grat celebration were stilled almost like throwing a light switch.
'This is tragic, and awful news'

Queen Katarina and Imam Hodza Nasrudin both left the feast to go to the Foreign Ministry to analyse the situation and in the Quen's words to 'prepare a more comprehnsie statement. This is not good news it affects things in the region from the proposed UBN to the proposed Regional Bank, to BAHHB. '

It is likely that Zahumlje will place it's armed forces on alert status and cancel leaves, 'Just as a precaution' stated Genral Miho Filipovic, head of the Domobrana. The Comander of the Janisseries issud no statement.
