Title: Montfortslavia Crisis
Description: contingency planning...
Katja of Zahumlje - August 5, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
Excellencies: Her Majesty the Queen-Komissar has informened me of the dire situation in Montfortslavia. Needless to say, she is distressed. It is a fact that Montfortslavia has been a strong ally of Zahumlje and that the ruler is a good friend. She's wondered what became of him!
I'm really glad that the fundraiser for BAHHB was such a sucess. I'm really glad to see the forward thinking nations of the Balkans helping already. Her Majesty's Government has put 40 million ducat at the disposal of BAHHB in the event of collapse of Montfortslavia and taken necessary steps to mobilize aid workers to go. In the recent past aid workers have not been allowed to go anywhere that Zahumljani peace keepers could not be present. Her Majesty's Government has reversed this position in light of the potential for a serious humanitarian crisis if Montfortslavia falls. Many political and cultural organizations in Zahumlje do humanitarian work and several have experience abroad, namely ZYSL, Matica Zahumlje, ZAP, Zahumlje Red Crescent Society, the Zahumlje Catholic Solidarity Movement for Peace, etc. Any organization of this type will have ready access to exit visas, etc. Area 51, and Warehouse 25 are of course always kept ready for emergencies. Supplies are ready at a moments notice to be airlifted out. It is to be hoped that the situation in Montfortslavia will soon stabilize.
Best Wishes

Srpska Kosovo - August 6, 2004 03:34 AM (GMT)
Comrades,
Let us hope that even at this late hour the growing turmoil in Monfortslavia may be contained and that the government there will rouse itself from slumber and once again serve the needs of its people. In the event that the nation does collapse, Srpska Kosovo will cooperate fully in any humanitarian operations.
Sincerely,
- President Karonovic

Maybe Montfortslavia is only in vacation mode.
However, in case Montfortslavia collapses, we are ready to take full responsability of relief activities in the northern part of Montfortslavia, the strip of land on the Danube river. Also Tolomakia will cover all the necessary costs to suply energy, food, water, medicine, security and access to education, religion and culture for the people leaving that part of Montfortslavia.
Thracia - August 6, 2004 04:54 PM (GMT)
Let us indeed hope that Montfortslavia is "on vacation mode".
In case this government collapses, however, Thracia is willing to do what is necessary (in terms of financial assistance, expertise, etc.) to keep the police force in "Montfortslavia proper" intact and functioning.

Edessia - August 8, 2004 11:41 PM (GMT)
TOP STORY: today in the national, a nation collapses, Montfortslavia has collapsed, a large and powerful nation, one fo the oldest in the balkans, and has contributed much throughout the history of the balkans. A Week-Long mourning in the Edessia started today, all citizens are wearing black pins and every hour on the hour for one week, all of Edessia's anti-air SAM sites around the embassey will fire one round each, straight up and then detonate, as a lasting tribute to the nation that, we've never known.
Also, in other news the Edessian government has applied for full revocation of provisionary control and evacuation of area 39 to area 17, excluding crete, which would like to either make as a memorial to montfortslavia, a gift to Tolomakia or simply make available, more on this in the inter-regional forums.
Thracia - August 9, 2004 06:12 AM (GMT)
MONTFORTSLAVIA IS BACK!!!
Apparently the government in Montfortslavia did not completely collapse or disappear. We received the following message from the provisional government established in Montforslavia.
URGENT MESSAGE
PLEASE POST AT REGIONAL FORUM
This is an official message from the Provisional Government of Montfortslavia. Sadly, our nation has experienced a collapse due to matters to be disclosed shortly.
This entity has been prepaired to act as the legal representation of the Montfortslavian Government. The Prime Minister is in good health and is currently being protected in Pepestonia. We ask for the cooperation of the entire Balkan region, as we have supported you, please support us in this time of need.
We request humbly that TEDIAB respect the borders of Montfortslavia prior to the collapse, so that as soon as order is restablished, the nation suffers no cultural compromises.
We also request an International Peacekeeping mission to assist the Transitional Government in the assurance and cooperation of International Agreements by the Government. Economic aid is not needed at this moment. The Montfortslavian Armed Forces, are still operational and under command from the Transitional Government.
Finally, we ask that the Transitional Government be allowed acces to the region, in order to make preparations for the restoring of the Republic.
We are greatful for your kind words and hearty support in this terrible hour of need.
Yours truly,
General Dimitri Alexandrev
on behalf of the Prime Minister of Montfortslavia.
