Paradiszia - June 18, 2004 02:29 AM (GMT)
All of it must be role played, we are all the charactures of our national leaders. No one can start ANY trouble, or they will be 'removed' from my palace. A special forum may be needed. It is to be a peaceful, non-political meeting.
I will be role playing as Emperor Pierre and the entire Imperial Family. If you wish to 'come' please state your nation's name and who you will 'be'. This will be very similar to NationStates forum role play, except we are all normal. ;)
Thracia - June 18, 2004 04:53 AM (GMT)
Thracia is sending to the "Summer Formal" its minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonis Ladas, who will be accompanied by his wife Zlatka Lada.
ooc:
A special forum can be created tomorrow.
The Eastern Roman Empire - June 18, 2004 02:20 PM (GMT)
The Royal family itself will attend the summer formal.
Srpska Kosovo - June 18, 2004 02:31 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately, representatives of Srpska Kosovo will not be able to attend. The 24th of June is only 4 days before St. Vitus Day, our national holiday and the anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo Polje and all of our governement officials will be involved in the preparations for the holiday. We would like to invite representatives of all Balkan nations to attend the St. Vitus Day ceremonies on your way home from Paradiszia. Further details will be posted in a seperate thread.
Paradiszia - June 18, 2004 05:04 PM (GMT)
That is no problem, the new official date is the 21st of this month. The 21 is the first day of summer!
Paradiszia - June 18, 2004 05:20 PM (GMT)
I'll give an example of the role play format:
*Walks in and looks around at guests, moves to the corner where the Minister of Foreign Affairs is standing*
"Who is that? I can't reconize these people by their faces! What kind of diplomat am I?!"
"Well, Your Majesty, wasn't the whole point of this to get to know everyone?"
*Gives the Minister a look and walks away. Sees the Thracian representatives, gose to talk to them*
"Hello, how are you all? Nice music, eh?"
--------
So, as you can see when you make an action you put * stars around them*, and when you are talking quotations "", in my example I asked the Thracians how they were, then they would begin talking back to me, and eventually start doing something else. You could all talk amongist yourselfs if you want.
Thracia - June 18, 2004 05:28 PM (GMT)
ooc:
I am sorry, but I won't be able to participate in such a detailed role-play.
However, you may use my representatives in your own postings as you wish.
The special forum for the "Summer Formal" is now open!

| OOC: Did you get this idea from the "Meeting of the International" thread in International Incidents on the NS Forum? |
No, I got it from a topic like that about a year ago when I still had my own region, I was a role player back then. I think this will be fun, we can exercise our charactures in a non-political way, we can 'meet' each other and socialize. I hope to do this every summer in Rome, and if Paradiszia ever goes, whatever nation controls the city can carry it on. So lets let this one set the bar for years to come!
I thank all the people who are coming, and I urge them to urge more people to do it.
International Terrans - June 18, 2004 07:58 PM (GMT)
OOC: Ok, cool, its just it seemed very similar.
However, I think this shouldn't just be every summer - perhaps every seasonal equinox/solstice, one for spring, summer, autumn and fall? Could be interesting... its a very good idea, I hope more people can attend.
Paradiszia - June 18, 2004 08:32 PM (GMT)
Well, yes but maybe other nations can host different formals for different seasons, I just want this one to be truly Roman.
International Terrans - June 18, 2004 10:06 PM (GMT)
OOC: Sounds like a good idea to me.
IC: The Prime Minister, a practising Catholic, will be sure to visit the Vatican during his trip to the region, and pay his respects to the Balkan's own Pope. He looks forward to the journey, and will be travelling by train to Rome. He will board "L'Internationale" (the Prime Ministerial train) tonight with the rest of the D.F.I.T.'s delegates.
Paradiszia - June 18, 2004 10:36 PM (GMT)
Well, the Pope will be at the ball. You are more than welcome to stay at my palace till Sunday then we can all go the mass at the Vatican.
The Eastern Roman Empire - June 18, 2004 11:08 PM (GMT)
ooc: does that palce thing apply to all guests?
Paradiszia - June 18, 2004 11:13 PM (GMT)
What do you mean? If you want to stay over, or..?
The Eastern Roman Empire - June 18, 2004 11:20 PM (GMT)
you said that X (dunno who) would be most welcome to stay in the palace. By saying that, you meant someone secial or all the guests?
Paradiszia - June 19, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
O! Yes well, anyone can stay if they like, I just thought of it when he mentioned about the Pope.
International Terrans - June 19, 2004 03:00 AM (GMT)
OOC: Well, I'm going to be away on the 22nd, (stupid friends demanding my presence), but I will be there on the 23rd.
IC: The Prime Minister and his wife would be more than happy to attend Mass. We look forward to it. As for the Pope, there are some little bits of Church dogma he would like to discuss...
The Eastern Roman Empire - June 19, 2004 09:53 AM (GMT)
The Emperor thanks Paradizsia for its kindness, and the Holy Roman Emperor will be welcome in 'Nova Roma', Constantinople in other words, any time he wishes.
