Title: Entries so far
Description: just to keep track of progress...

Katja of Zahumlje - April 10, 2004 04:45 AM (GMT)
Excellencies: So far in no particular order, these are the entries, since it is cut and paste done by someone with bad eyesight, (took a direct CS gas hit dureing the defence of Stjepanagrad never been the same since), please private message me any spelling corrections and they will be corrected here,

I figured a running tally here would be easier for me to keep track of. please don't put corrections here, this area is just to for me to keep stuff straight about who entered.
note, We'd like to have the name of the educational institution of the students included, several have left out that detail.
please not how the Zahumlje entries are formatted and try for that. I hadn't thought about adding length of film but that is a good idea. please everyone else feel free to do that.Other info can be in the main discussion.
Thanks

Final Annoyastani entry into the Student Film Festival Announced.

Darko Malevolek: The Ball Takes Funny Bounces, Sometimes
(documentary)
directed by Gorgi Mizribili
Mastrinko State University
67 minutes
This documentary covers the formation and first season of the Balkan Football Association, but focuses its lens in particular on the Association’s charismatic but mercurial commissioner Darko Malevolek, right up to the day of Malevolek’s disappearance. Mizribili’s remarkable level of access reveals a troubled but larger-than-life man, hard-drinking, emotional, shifty, intensely loyal, pompous, insecure, and a gambler who often broke the very rules he had just made. Release of the film was delayed by Internal Security, who screened it carefully for clues. “Loved the film,” said Inspector Darius Kaamk,”hated the ending.”

Arrangements are going apace, all Nations wishing to enter a film or films please do send them in. I'm really glad there's so many entries. I the Stjepanagrad portion of this festival is going to really be excellent. Comfortable arrangements are available in Zahumlje, in all price ranges. This is a beautiful time to see Zahumlje's lovely capitol, much restored since the war years and bustling. Zahumlje will soon have a billion inhabitants! There is a brand new zoological garden in Stjepanagrad, I'm really proud of it. I personally scored the Siberian tiger cub for this zoo.
Best Wishes

I think the Drama Musical portion in Rome and the Historical Comedy in Stjepanagrad and divide the documentaries evenly between the two Nations ought to work. There will be a random drawing on the Documentaries in the next two days.
I have to say that at last entries are coming. No word from Montfortslavia on anticipated entries.
Thanks again to Annoyastan. Scholarships ought to get people going!

Thanks.
Mastrinko does produce the most popular beers in Annoyastan.
I'm thinking that the Ad will change every few days or so. IntelliSelli produced the ad, and there are a few others in the works, including one for the Festival special, the non-alcoholic brew.

The head of the monastery and the other monks deride him and become increasingly furious as he finagles a way out of every chore they assign to him. Eventually they give up and consider him a lost cause. One day while napping under his favorite tree, the monk dies. At his funereal the monks speak of how lazy and worthless he was. In the midst of their discussion the Archbishop arrives and tells them to be silent, "This brother did not like to pray or work, but he refused to judge another person his entire life and is now in heaven." The monks repent and hold a large party to honor the memory of The Monk Who Did Nothing.

Title: Revolution
Category: Comedy
Running time: 120'
Director: Michalis Ioannou*
Description: The "fun" side of the things going on seen from the eyes of students. Ioannou satires the modern order of things in this excellent movie. From the socialist revolution in Cuba (1958) to the Iraq invasion (2003 - on) [and the WSA military support to Iraq**], and the American and Soviet governments. Considered a communist propaganda movie in some capitalist states, the "Revolution" of Michalis Ioannou was 1st in the Cypriot Box Office for many weeks.

* Michalis Ioannou is a student of the Nicosia Arts University, and this is his first film. Many students participate.
** My old region "handled" the situation by role-playing...The soviets sponsored the Iraqi by sending 600 tousand troops and throwing the invaders to sea, lol
