Creator - January 2, 2004 04:06 PM (GMT)
Well, Photoshop can be learned from out tutorials section. I'll add some more basic tutorials to it later.
Bryce, hmm... what kind of things would you like to make on Bryce? Like realistic scenes, or backgrounds for banners or wallpapers, or osmething like that?

Cone Potter - January 3, 2004 03:22 PM (GMT)

Sandman - January 3, 2004 10:32 PM (GMT)
I have Bryce 5, but have no clue how to use it.
Cone Potter - January 3, 2004 11:03 PM (GMT)
Here's a random question Sandman. When did you get a sudden interest in penguins?
the_cobbinator - January 3, 2004 11:14 PM (GMT)
Ok, this is probably a stupid question, but do you think Bryce would work on my Pentium 166 mhz?

Weapon-X - January 5, 2004 10:28 PM (GMT)
i also would like to learn something that looks really techy but simple to do....
if u know what i mean
Creator - January 5, 2004 10:28 PM (GMT)
Making crystal like things is very easy in Bryce... 3D like crystal things that is. If you want 3D crystals, and know how to do abstract stuff in Bryce, than crystals are simple. You just take the pyramid object, stretch it out, and rotate it.
In Photoshop... eh, it will take a bit, but I'll write a tutorial.

So where do I get started in learning this stuff? Photoshop?
Weapon-X - January 5, 2004 10:33 PM (GMT)
i know how to do crystal in ps.. so thats coolz..
i was trying to go for a 3-D look...
so yeah
i see a lot of places where ppls make outer space abstracts
can u teach me those!!
Creator - January 5, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
Okay, well, look for the abstract tutorial at
shiver7.com and do that. It will give you a nice abstract effect. After that, I will teach you to make crystals using that same effect.

..........aah.....
i've already have......
is there more tuts around??
Creator - January 5, 2004 10:43 PM (GMT)
Okay then. Instead of making circles, what you need to do is use the triangles, or pyramids. You need to stretch them out, so that they look like crystals. Just follow the rest of the tutorial than and you're done.

How in-depth is your knowledge of Photoshop?

Well... that depends on what you need to do. I can go very in depth with web design, brushing, and a few other things, but if you want something like the pen tool, you'll have to see some one else.

Weapon-X - January 13, 2004 09:46 AM (GMT)

that looks coolz
now u can teach me
hahha
please..

Well, what I do is make my background black, and using the paint brush tool with opacity set at 75%, I take random brushes and paint the image. Once your done just do Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and colorize it. I sometimes duplicate the layer and set the blending mode to "Overlay" for a darker, more trendy look.
