Title: New Irc Channel
Description: for New Generation members

Alan - June 14, 2003 07:57 PM (GMT)
Hi.

I spoke with Creator the other day, and since then I've set up an IRC channel for New Generation.

If you would like to come into the channel and speak to each other in real time, then come along. You can get to the channel using the following URL...
http://www.nullnet.net/chat/chat.php?chann...t&theme=default

Note: When using the link above you wil be given a default ChatNull name, so when in the channel, just type /nick <your-name-here> and hit enter. ;)

If you have mIRC, you can get to the channel using this information, but you can use the web chat link above if you do not have mIRC.

Server: irc.nullnet.net
Channel: #newgeneration
Port(s): 6667

It is preferred that all users use their forum name when entering the channel. However, if this is not possible, it doesn't matter.

Currently I am the only operator, so I will be making certain staff members operators and half-operators. We don't need too many, but if you would like to be an operator (full or half) or a channel voice, please come along to the channel and see me. I am there most of the time. Please note, I will only give a few people this status so as we don't have too many, so please don't wait to long.

Note: My username on that network is musicalmidget. There is always an Alan in the channel, but that is the bot which ops all the time, so if you want to speak to me, I am not Alan, but am musicalmidget instead. :P I would be happy to make all staff members either a voice or a half-operator, but not everyone will become an operator, or else there will be too many. If Creator comes into the channel he will automatically become an operator. All operators, half-operators and channel voices must register their names with me in the channel so as they will automatically be given the correct authorities when entering the channel.

To anyone who doesn't know, operators have an @ before their name like me and Alan (the bot). Half-operators have a % before their name, and voices have a +.

I hope to see you all in the channel from time to time.

:)

It's cool. Try it.

Sure is, just need everyone to come down sometime, and remember that I am musicalmidget in the channel and Alan is a bot. :D

If you have mIRC or can register your nickname in the channel, then this is better for those of you who will help to run the forum. :)
