Monster

I am tormented daily
By a hideous beast
It destroys my very life
When I'm expecting it least
It hides in the shadows
And waits for me to turn
A little more weak and vulnerable
And then it goes in for the burn
It physically harms me
And emotionally too
It mentally murders me
With a pain that is true
It holds cold metal to my wrists
As it pulls back with force
It laughs as my blood pours out
And it shows no remorse
It makes me sad and angry and confused
And gives all feelings in the same moment
It tears me up from the inside out
Every attack leaving me forever bent
It tears at my mind
And distorts all my thoughts
To that of hate and death
That's what this beast has wrought
It hurts and brings pain
To the ones that I love
It kicks and punches
It pushes and shoves
It yells and screams
And it curses the whole world
Sarcasm and criticism
And insults it has hurled
It's trapped me in a glass box
I cannot get free
It's keeping me hostage
While slowly torturing me
I beat on the glass
But it just won't break
All while this monster kills me
From this nightmare I can't wake
I turn to face the glass walls
And to my horror do I see
A sight that makes me fall down and cry
For the monster is me.

You know me too well, I still have that dark angsty side with me from when I use to be a gothe, damn, those were tough times. I love the poem very very much.
