Title: August 24-25, 2003
Description: A little too early to post this but...
Melfina - July 13, 2003 03:45 AM (GMT)
I know it's too soon but I just had to post this.
On 8/24/03, I'd be gone to the hospital to stay overnight for surgery. The surgery takes place on the next day, the 25th. I won't be on for a while, I know it's only a day but I just thought I'd let you all know so you won't be worried. I'm usually on everyday (but when my schooling starts I might have to cut back time being on the internet) so yeah, the surgery's not serious. But I've gone through many in my years as I grew up. :(
I just want to let you know all of this. So... don't worry about me. I'll be fine. And depending on how I feel after it, I might have to stay another night unless I feel fine from the anathestic. I just hope and pray that I can go home after the surgery. I hate staying in hospitals. Like this one person said, "They're evil." Well, I don't find them evil, just... kinda boring and no fun. Painful. Sad. I hope you guys won't worry about me, I'll be fine, like I said. Good luck AnC! I love you, guys!! You've all been really cool so far. I love this place!!

Oh yeah I forgot to add this.
For a speedier recovery make sure that you do not eat that crap they claim is food.
I'm convinced it's a legal poison hopitals use to keep you there much longer than you have to be there.
So remember stay away from they tray^_~

Good luck, Melfina! I hope when the time comes it goes smoothly and easily. Sooner the recovery, the sooner you can come back, ne? :)

The very first hospital I've been to (nine years ago) had food that tasted like cardboard. This new one is better. At least they have mexican food and good breakfast. The hospital is pretty new, so I think the food is good. This is my second surgery from them. The first one was a nightmare. :(

May I be bold and ask why? If it's something you'd rather not discuss, please excuse me... I'm just curious, that's all. ^_^

The first surgery in The Shriner's Hospital (Where I'm taking my surgery) was terrible because I was in pain for several days. I can hardly move, the pain was incredible that I cannot even stand up straight. I felt very sick, too. Tired. I eventually recovered, though. All surgeries I had recently and in the past was kinda nightmarish to me because I was always in incredible pain. The worst thing that I was connected to me was the Broviacs/I.V. Machines. They always annoy me. But I don't want to tell you too much, but yeah. I am just going to tell a little bit of it.

I remember when I had my spinal surgery... :ph43r:
Let's just say my recovery consisted of my mother seeing me bare-assed naked everyday (3 times), shoving gauze into a crater the size of a large grapefruit.
Tee-hee.

Haha! I had my spinal tap surgery done before. Nine years ago. Bone Marrow too I think. The Aesthetic that time hurt like heck! Burned my brain like it was on a oven! The med is a milky white color, inside a syringe of course. Injected through the I.V. thingy. Gah! That was terrible. Chemo, too. Yuck!
But that's long over. Thank goodness! :D
The anathestic here in Shriner's is soo much better. You can just shoot the medicine in your mouth (they put the med in the syringe. No needle, though :D) and wow, does it knock me out fast! :D I can barely open my eyes. THe only bad thing is that it tasted like cardboard
But thanks, Mikage!! Everything will be okay, It will ! <3 thanks.

If you ever wanna rant about being frustrated, or just need general support... feel free to do so in the on-coming months. I'm sure the rest of us will all agree to that.
'till then, we'll send you on your way (hopefully) being happy!
