What the heck is a GoogleBot. Every now and then when I'm on the board it shows up under the members currently online.

If it's something I should know feel free to tease me but make sure to also tell me what it is.

Ya know I was wondering the same thing too!!!! I was on yesterday and saw it, I checked where it was going on the boards and It went pretty much everywhere, every topic board, and every post!!!!

My guess is that it scanned our site so that it could put us on the google results. For example, if someone typed in Ayashi no Ceres on the Google website, our site would appear with the rest of the other sites....get it???

That was the only reason I could think of...... :wacko:

I saw this when Melfina was on the board. They probably, like Yugi said, checks the board out and either checks what we got here or scans it for the search engine, hence the world Googlebot. But then again, I might be wrong. I don't see this at the Mystcommunity.com forum (the forum itself is the same as this one, Invision) but it is strange that nothing comes up from the name.
