Title: the holidays

duotrouble - December 20, 2003 10:54 PM (GMT)
So what's everyone's plans for the holidays?

I don't want to assume everyone celebrates the same thing or anything at all. Just curious about the diversity of our group.

Well, I have to work on Christmas but I have New Year's Eve and Day off. Christmas Eve, my best friend and I are going to midnight mass. I'm not really excited about it because the last time I went I had to listen about being a sinner for only going once a year. That was about ten years ago. OH! And I'm not Catholic. Just being the supportive, good friend.

Then we're hooking up after work on Christmas to exchange our gifts. Both of our boyfriends will be out of town with their families so it should be a quiet evening. My family is so used to me not being able to be off on holidays, they planned trips. So I'll be celebrating with them in January.

New Year's Eve should be a blast as the boyfriends will be back. We're all going to gather on top of my best friend's apartment building roof and watch the peach drop. Yes! I said peach. We don't have them fancy silver balls like them folk up in New York. And of course I'm off New Year's Day to sleep off the alcohol. Don't get any ideas young ones!

I celebrate Christmas. We normally open our gifts on Christmas Eve and our stockings on Christmas Day. After our stockings we get ready and go up to my grandmother's for a family gathering. This year we're doing a potluck of some sort. I'm either going to be making a pasta dish or a homemade soup. I've yet to decide.

I hope everyone here has a safe and, above all, happy holiday. :)

I'm off to my sister's house over christmas. My mum and step-dad are away, but I'll see my dad and step-mum as they really close to my sister. The bad thing is I have to come back the day before my birthday because I've got work, so I'll won't be spending my birthday and new year with any of my family.

Sorry to hear that, BB! But I hope you have a great time otherwise.

And oops! Forgot to say . . .

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, EVERYONE!!!

My christmas is usually pretty kick back. We exchange gifts, open presents eat and just sort of hang out all day. Nothing to exciting.

My New Years Eve should be a kick ass though.
I landed 2 tickets to the Goo Goo Dolls in Las vegas at the Mandalay Bay.

I usually have friends and some family over. ;p This year is gonna be fun, but not too many people are coming.

We always have a lot of fun. This year my cousin is going to stay over my house until 5am and play the HP Quidditch game with me. xD

I still have a liiiiitle bit of shopping to do.

Quidditch!

Judging by your LJ entries with him... I'm sure it'll be a blast. XD
