So is anyone going to AWA next weekend? (That's Anime Weekend Atlanta.) I am but then again I live in Atlanta. I was just wondering if anyone travels the country to go to certain conventions.

Does anyone know of any cool stuff to be on the lookout for? I know I'll be looking for a Ceres necklace but is there anything else?

Well, I suggest to lookout for cels (of course xD) if they have cel dealers... but about anything Watase-related is nice... *_*

I have the Tooya's necklace, and I recommend getting it if you see it. :) I hope you find it!

Well, TD, I don't know if you'll be jealous or not but I have new cels. :rolleyes:

Everyone might be interested in the Ceres cel I bought. It's a really nice closeup of her looking angry as usual. I'll let you know when I have a pic.

I got lots of manga, a few figures, plushes and 2 WK pins. I did well. I found a lot of bargins. My Ceres cel I'd seen online and considered buying it. When I saw it in person for 50% off, I knew it was mine.

There was a fair amount of ANC stuff there but no necklace. :angry: Oh well!

Of course I can't forget to mention the t-shirt and bag I bought with my moto on them.

T-shirt = Anime - drugs would be cheaper.

Bag = Anime - crack is cheaper.

Alright! Apparently I didn't give enough info. Let's see what I can remember. Oh, and I went Saturday and Sunday -- long story.

Saturday, we all gathered and went directly to the CN/Adult Swim/Toonami panel. We showed never before seen bumps for AS, IGPX as a whole from group Toonami and a snippet from the Clone Wars for CN. Everyone there seemed to enjoy it but we were kinda bored. Duh - it's what we do. :lol:

Then we b-lined it to the dealers. I met up with one I knew. Very busy. I was surprised to only find 2 cel dealers. They were House of Anime and Asylum-Anime. HA didn't have any ANC cels while AA had 5 books. I found every character. I would have loved to bought stacks and stacks of them but I can't really justify that now can I? :rolleyes: They had the most of Aya with Toya coming in a close second. The Aki's and Yuuhi's they had were in the same sequence of one's I already have. There was an Aya there that was haunting like Mikage-san's evil Aki cel. (Check it out if you haven't already!)

We scoped out the original art and even watched some artists drawing for the paying customers. I didn't recognize any of the guests we had this year. And I didn't receive a booklet of events. They didn't print enough!!!

So many people there were dressed up. And yes, it was crowded but not annoyingly crowded. Most of the costumes were from Inuyasha. Although I saw several from Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Kenshin, Sailor Moon and Weiss Kreuz. I don't think I saw any from ANC but then again, how would I know? I mean they dressed pretty normal. I saw someone who could have been Toya but I wasn't sure. By the time I got over to him, he was gone. :ph43r:

OK! For the 18 and up club, sorry snortstah and others! A normal, cute looking guy did give me his room number. (It was being held in a hotel.) But I'm totally into someone so it didn't go any further than my brain. :wub: Nice ego boost though!

There were viewing rooms everywhere. But I didn't have enough time to go check them out. I went to a comedy club in Athens (an hour away from Atlanta) with a couple of friends that night. In fact, I even overheard two girls wondering why anyone would go to a con and watch anime.

Well, I hope this helps to wet those appetites. Sorry for the terrible job earlier. I only had a few minutes then. Was supposed to go to a movie tonight but it was cancelled. Oh well!
