Title: LOTR
Description: all of them

As I think I mentioned in another topic long ago, I'm currently reading the LOTR: The Two Towers. I'm only half way through it. After seeing the LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring, I really wanted to read the book. My brother got so many inside things that breezed past me. (He was required to read it in school.)

He suggested I read the Hobbit first. I liked it and continued on through the series. I'm now in the middle of the 3rd book with only one more book remaining.

Have any of you seen the movies or read the books? What do you think?

I'm so glad I started reading them because it's opened the movies up so much more. I couldn't believe the depth of that universe. I can't wait until the final movie LOTR: The Return of the King comes out in December!

snortstah, you crack me up!

A good friend of mine described the Fellowship as "They're walking and they're walking and oh, they're starving and then they're walking again."

I know I never could have gotten into the book if it weren't for the movie. But there's so much extra plot and background info in the books. It brought the story even more to life. And being an aspiring writer, his word usage just puts me in awe.

[Please forgive the old person reference here.] And when I was your age, there was no way I could have cared in the least for that book. Now, I appreciate it. That certainly doesn't mean you ever have to like it. It's not for everyone.
