Description: what do you like

Hey! Thought I'd try to find out other than anime, what kind of movies does everyone like? This is one of my standard questions when I'm breaking the ice with newbies at work.

Me -- well I'm all for adventure but I love the romance too. My favorite movie of all time is The Magnificent Ambersons. For the younger crew, this is a black & white movie from way before my time. I think it's the movie Orson Welles directed right after Citizen Kane but I could be slightly off about that.

Anyway, here's list of some of my other favorite movies in no order.

Titanic
All of the Star Wars movies
The Mummy
All of the Indiana Jones movies
Pirates of the Carribean
Sleepy Hollow
To Kill a Mockingbird
Bringing Up Baby
The Patriot
All of the LOTR movies
Almost anything Hitchcock especially Shadow of a Doubt
All of the Harry Potter movies

And that's just to name a few. I love movies! What about you?

I'm...pretty lame. I never watch movies. :/

The last time I've been to a theatre was when Runaway Bride was playing.

I do have a couple favorites, though...

Let's see... Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Romeo and Juliet (new version), Red Dragon, both Harry Potter movies (I can't wait for the rest! ;_;), erm... let's see...

Well, my mind's a bit blank right now.

i really can't narrow it down to even a list of 50. honestly i can't. we (being my family) has over 500 movies, and i love them all!
so it's a little tricky to pick a small bunch of them

........but since no one's mentioned it, one of my fav movies is clerks. it's really funny.

i mostly am into dramas and action, but we do have a large humor section on our shelves...
oh i hate austin powers. just thought i'd say that.

Hey Snortstah

TD, I've never heard of Boondock Saints. I did a search on it and found a cross that looks very similiar to Aya's with obvious exceptions.

My favorite movies change often. So uhm... right now my favorite movie is probably any Jackie Chan movie, really. I really admire the guy and he is extremely talented and isn't afraid to do a dangerous stunt. Although getting older, he still looks great. So yeah, I havent seen his latest movie but I should. I also have yet to see Pirates and Tomb Raider II.

snortstah - August 16, 2003 11:16 PM (GMT)
oh pirates and tomb raider were good ^_^

and i love martial arts movies as much as anime! like one fifth of our movies are martial arts ^_^

my fav actors in that genre are
jackie chan
jet li
andy lau* (i can't remember if it's lau or lao -_-)
michelle yeoh or however you spell it
this one guy i can't think of........lol

.......omg i dislike crouching tiger, hidden dragon (or as i call it, "coughing tiger, sneezing dragon" lol) a lot.....blah it was boring and the previews made it seem like there would actually be some action. blah.

I clicked the link to check it out. The banner for that site consists of clips from the movie.

If you want the movie it's only like $15 at best buy

The movie stars Willam DaFoe, Sean Patrick Flanery and it even has a small part for Ron Jeremy.
