I'd have to say that By far the anime is the best... but most of everything i know about the .hack// series i got from the games because i don't have cable.. *crys* but I've seen the first 12 episodes thanks to kazaa..lol <_<

well the anime is alot more confoosing!..=P but the game is too. i still cant beat the last boss -kicks her ps2- w/e anyway id say the anime cause you can understand things alot easier....but i still dont get something. mimiru in the anime series is like changed in the game to black rose...and yeah...

If you notice in the Game Aura is awake, and Sora has been transformed already =P, the game takes place After the Anime

no pics o.0 the "*SPOILERS*" thing is a cuortesy for people who dun want to have parts of the story spoiled, so it gives them a chance to scroll past =P
