Yes, that's right. There's a new RPG for FFVII to be released sooner or later, and it's title is Crisis Core. I dunno any big details as of yet, (mainly because I don't read japanese) but I know for sure it's going to be an RPG, and deals with FFVII. :D
I had a feeling they'd have another one. I mean, c'mon:
Advent Children
Before Crisis
Dirge of Cerberus
AC, BC, CC, DC. I'm gonna laugh hysterically if an EC shows up. Can you say, "Final Fantasy VII: Christmas and Easter Special" ? xD

As the months have been going by, I have come to have a sneaky suspicion that Crisis Core will turn out to be an FFVII remake. The title "Crisis Core would fit totally.
We have Before Crisis, taking place before FFVII. Crisis Core would be a suitable name for the Core of the story; the events of FFVII.
Considering they've given like...NO details on the game, other than that it'll be released on the PSP, I truly believe it's a remake.
Compilation of Final Fantasy VII consists of (so far): A prequel cell phone game (Before Crisis), a sequel movie (Advent Children) a sequel game (Dirge of Cerberus), and the mysterious unknown of Crisis Core.
They're already milking the FFVII franchise through a prequel and two sequels. Why not go for a remake of the original that brought about the entire compilation? It will more likely than not sell.
Am I crazy, or does this seem logical/plausible?

Well from what I heard, CC is the story of Zack, Cloud, and Sephiroth during the that whole flashback scean..... but fleshed out much more.....
Plus I do belive that they are making Zack the main character...

Yup, you're right. It's supposed to be all about Zack. I saw a tiny little trailer around E3 time that mentioned something about a promise between Aeris and Zack *shrug*

but whats the point? apart from being a diehard fan and 'HAVE' to play it do you already know the story? if you are smart enough (you really dont have to be smart , just look for the story behind the story) you will know what happens and dont have to play it to understand what happened at the 'crisis's core'.
would be fun if i had A LOT OF SPARE TIME which i never do
