I'm sure a lot of you have been complaining about activity levels recently, which is understandable, and I was thinking of a way to get the board more active again today.

I was searching threads of topics, sections of the board, and then I was looking at the AT banner, and realized that I've almost been here on AT a year, yet I don't ever recall there being another banner. Then I got to thinking that I wasn't the only one who has noticed this, and I remember some talk about changing it, modifying it, etc. Then today, I saw Psyva's banner he had made for AT in the Graphics Showcase, and then an idea popped in my head.

Banner Contest

There's a quite a few of you on here that are very talented with graphics and making banners and such. If some of you could make a banner, or more than one, then submit it to the rest of the members, we could have a vote on the new banner for AT. Now I'm not trying to blame inactivity matters on the banner. That's just not something that goes and kills a message board. I'm just trying to say that it could be a fun and interesting event to boost activity for a while, and I think it would be neat to see how different and unique the banner submissions will be, then giving members a choice on how their message board will look, you know?

Of course, in order for it all to work out, our owners and admins here on Angel Tide would have to agree on changing the banner, and then we'd have to have banner makers who are willing to lend their skills.

With that said, I'm asking those of you in question; Would you agree on changing the banner? If so, would you be willing to submit banners to be judged?

Angel Tide will be a year old on July 29th, and we could hold this banner contest in honor of it's anniversary; not to mention any other ideas of celebrations you could think of. Also, this would be an event that the entire forum can get in on, whether they take place in banner making, or voting.

Again, it's just a thought, and maybe just a crazy idea of mine, but I ask that you would all please consider it.

I'm not entering the contest, but I'd like to keep this topic bumped.


I think having another banner contest would be a good idea. I remember having another, but nothing ever happened with that...

Banner Contest sounds good to me. ^_^ We've needed to change the AT banner for awhile. On that note:

An Angel Tide banner? Or just any banner we feel like making? There's gonna be size restrictions right? Let's get this show on the road :P. I'll enter, but it'll be the worst one there i'm sure.

Hmmm...sounds interesting...Ill definately enter...if I have the time that is...meh...Im sure I will...but yes we will need size restrictions and stuff though so as Im busy with other stuff at the moment (like my damn english report) Im going to leave all the details up to DG and katrak...XD...my lazy ass is gunna kill me someday...

Okay, well, before we can get this show on the road, I'm gonna need an admins help. We need to know the maximum size that the banner can be so we can decide on the restrictions. Just gimme a PM, or post here..whichever.
