"What the hell was I thinking, coming to a city?"
The young woman appeared to be addressing the query to the falcon that was perched on a fire escape above her. Sahari leaned her back against the alley's wall and turned her face up towards her bird. They had only minutes ago been in the thick of the city before fleeing to a more abandoned part of town. Resting from her roof jumping, she was now in a narrow and shady side-street. She turned so her right arm was pressed against the bricks and let her warm cheek rest against the refreshingly cool stones.
"We should be back in the mountains..."
Her tone was now like that of a lost girl, rather than a woman and a warrioress. She closed her eyes for a few moments, feeling nauseous and homesick from being in the city for so long. Hearing a noise behind her, Sahari stiffened. Someone had just treaded through the small puddle at the alley's opening. Without turning, she pushed herself from the wall and let her hand drift towards the long dagger at her waist. She kept her back towards whomever had stumbled upon her and stared down the far end of the alley. Adopting a wider stance, she spoke.
"I myself am not here looking for trouble. All I can say is that, if you are then you've found it," she closed her eyes, listening for either a response or a movement from the intrusive one.

(Ok...Ill vs you...just to give this place some life...)

My boot splashed in the puddle...I cursed myself silently...the woman in front of me had her back turned...her hand was making it's way to her dagger...I put my hand on my sword...

"I myself am not here looking for trouble. All I can say is that, if you are then you've found it..." she said...

"Im not looking for trouble...I was looking for someone to help me..."

The woman started to turn...she looked into the shadows...I was mostly hidden except for my shoes...

"Do I know you?" She asked...
"Yes...although you will find out who I am in time...as long as you are willing to fight me..."
"Why?"
"Because...this town has shown few people who truly know how to fight...but once I found out you had come here...then I tried to find you...and now I have...so will you?"

(Coolie, a re-match)

Straining her eyes into the shadows, Sahari tried to see her foe. His words were cryptic and alluding to something of which she had no knowledge of. There was an oddly familliar tone in his voice, but it was something she couldn't place.
"It is not my habit to retreat from battle," she remarked calmly, her other hand reaching up for her sword. Drawing both blades smoothly, she paused.
"How did you know I had come here?"
The shadowy figure offered her no further explination then "In time".
The young woman stepped back into a fighting stance and looked up at her opponent.
"Ready when you are..."

(Yeah well it is my understanding that we didnt finish the last battle...wait...yeah we did...I escaped or something because I need to get the sw rp up...anyway...)

I drew my sword...the tip of it gleamed in the light of the moon...the woman instantly knew who I was from seeing the metal...

"Neo?"
"Ahh...so you do remember me..."
"You ran away last time...how could I forget such a cowardly act?"

I knew that, although she could not see my face, she knew I was cursing myself for that...I had also not forgotten our last battle...

"Well...I usually dont dwell on past events..."

I then span around and swung my blade towards her...

(Well, you never "ran"...I kinda let your Dark Obliteration finish me so stuff could end and you could get the RP done. Either way, I have little intention of letting you off so easily this time *wink*)

Sahari brought her arms up in a cross, blocking with her sword. She could hear the alleyway echo lightly with the metallic sound as her bones rattled from the force of his strike.
"Funny," she remarked through their crossed blades, looking defiantly into his dark eyes "I try to remember all I can." And I remember you very well, she thought to herself.
The woman quickly performed a simultaneously ducking and turning motion, spinning around behind Neo to aim a strike from behind.

(Ahh yes now I remember...anyway...)

I span out of the way of the attack from behind...I jumped forward...

"Just as challenging as before...good job..."

I jumped up...clouds formed around in the sky...then a blue bolt of lighting came crashing down towards her...

Backflipping up to one of the fire escapes, Sahari teleported off as the lightning hit the metal.
Landing softly, she turned and looked at Neo, smiling.
"I was thinking the same thing" she said, returning her dagger to her waist to free her right hand. A familliar fire pooled in her hand and she hurled it at her opponent. Then, once more she made her way to the fire escape, hoping he's follow.

(Sorry I havent posted...I didnt get on very much on the weekend...)

I watched as she jumped up to the fire escape again...You want me to follow...you got it...I jumped up the wall onto the fire escape...I followed her onto the roof...she ran to one side and turned to face me...

"What are you going to do now Sahari? Jump? I think not...So...?"

(If I'm not mistaken, this was something you had wanted to try once...Let me know if you want me to change it)

"Actually...."
Sahari sheathed her sword and turned, adopting a runner's stance. Fixing her eyes on the skylight about twenty feet ahead of her, she sensed Neo out of the corner of her eye beginning to dart foreward. He must have guessed her thoughts. Streaking towards her target Sahari executed a front flip, crashing through the glass feet-first.
Teleporting herself onto one of the walkways, she was lucky enough to find herself near of the maintinence passages. She found the fuse box and, with the pull of a few levers, soon had the whole building lit up.
Returning to the walkway she looked down below her for Neo while calling out "Welcome to this city's one and only abandoned mall".

Neo landed on a railing...he scanned the area...then he saw a fireball fly out at him...he jumped out of the way and sent his dark judgement attack flying towards where the fireball came from...

(Uhh...I cant really remember what this attack did...but I think I know...)

(I think I remember this attack too...a little too well *groans*)

Sahari saw the black energy coming towards her. Knowing there was nothing she could do she drew her sais, braced herself and allowed herself to be hit. She was shoved back by the force of the attack and only barely remained standing. Breathing rather raggedly, she immediatly began healing in an effort to rid herself of the pain that was running through her chest.
