Bleh, if I'm still in the position I'll change the whole forum. It just doesn't look too appealing anymore. If I'm still in the position I'd find a decent skin, try to come up with a catchy banner, clean the whole thing and uhmm... not just advertise online, I'll bring some real friends or something here. It's getting old and if we don't do something, nothing will happen.

Well, not to be a total arse or something(yeah I'm the villain around here.) but I hate to see it die. Yeah, it may or may not die(we have some loyal people here like shaydah, kt, kie, ns, sw, vion, etc.) but to the eyes of someone not close to them, this place is empty. They won't feel welcome and won't see anything interesting so yeah, I'm an arse for saying these things.

So yeah, I'm all for another layout revamp. We admin-ish people need to find a way to have choices, therefore everyone gets a variety. I know it's possible, because I've seen it. So I'm gonna find it...somehow, somewhere.

First of all, the buttons clash with the theme. err... Been here for a long but I never bothered telling that for I don't want to hurt anyone. Yes, I may not have any rights to criticize but for a moment, let's all be civilized and talk. It's actually more like bussiness. Yes it may sound shiat or nonesense but we have to put a mark and try to hit it.

What is this forum all about again? Can somebody please explain to me why we created this forum 2 years ago? Ah yes, our sanctuary, but then again we want more members and we want it not to die(in a sense that not only for "us", the oldies, to stay here but also for more new members to come and stay as well.)

So I strongly suggest that we find a topic/theme and stay until we get some results.(just looking at all those sub forums makes me dizzy. seriously, there's just too many.)

We need some life around here. Maybe more activities or discussions. Yes, we have a lot of contests, but who wins? The oldies... It makes the so called forum "n00bs" feel somewhat unwelcome so they just visit everyonce in a while and then forget about the place. It's also kinda repeatitive if you ask me. But it's a tradition that I really respect.

We can never change the fact that forums = threads and discussions, so what makes a good forum is a good place for discussion with some members who makes sense when posting.(people worthy of respect, which is earned and not just given away btw.)

KT: Yes, it's too dark, doesn't follow the concept and makes me feel dizzy after sometime.(Sorry guys, when I'm using a crappy comp, dark stuffs doesn't look good. ^^") Help? I don't think you need my help. :) I seriously think you are all responsible enough and can handle this one. :) About me and my old position, well it happened already. Nothing we can do about it. The least thing I wanted was for me and Kie to have a special member title/group like "Retired" or something like "Forsaken Angel". ^^ It'll be my pleasure if I could be of any help around here though. :) I have some random smilies, member icons, etc. We can also work for some buttons/icons and stuffs. Banner? I can help, although I'll suggest Cory for he knows this place well.

Yeah, we've definitely got some clashing colors. We have the stars with a red twinge to them, surrounded with black nothingness on the sides, a red colored skin, and...blue buttons. It's just not working for our sanctuary anymore.

If you would like to contribute graphics, hacks, and etc to Angel Tide, please do. Contributors will not go unnoticed, I assure you. I may create another usergroup to commemorate those who helped out, depending on how many people we get. (btw aj and Kie...you're now forsaken angels. It's the least I could do for those who came before Peter and I ^_~)

So let's get the ball rolling and hear some ideas! I'm gonna work on getting a display option also for certain members with high achievements, contributions, and whatnot on the board(oooooh, public recognition o-o) So look forward to that in the coming week.

Okay, I put in a skin chooser...but there's a slight problem: the stars in our skin that Satone put up is kinda..well...merging with the other skins? xD It doesn't look all that bad though, depending on what skin you choose...but I took it out, for the sake of the other skins people might wanna use. And sometimes the maroon background of our default skin merges with some other skins (namely the IF Default). I've figure a way around it sooner or later.

And obviously, the banner doesn't go with all of the skins, but you'll have to just deal with that if you want to switch around. Or we can find someone who'll make an "all skin friendly banner". xD

Oh, and if anybody wants a certain skin put up there, PM me the link to it, and I'll try to put it in there, mmkay? ^^

I see where this is going...now let me add my two cents here...

1) I perfer a dark skin...quite frankly, I have an lcd monitor where the brightness isnt exactly low...so any light sites are really annoying to look at after awhile...so dont take the dark skins away...

2) Aj, you lost your admin spot for the sole reason that you werent active at the time...So if you want to help, and plan on posting here more, then by all means, go for your life...dont take this the wrong way, cause I class you as one of the more popular members around this place...however, popularity doesnt mean you should keep your admin spot imo...

3) I notice no one has mentioned here anything about a website in any great detail...let me explain whats happening here...

I managed to aquire a copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, which Im already practicing with...basically I've got about 20 pages lined up, with 6 created and 1 finished...(created meaning the pages are there but not finished...)...but I need something to put in there...once thats done I can finish it off within about a week or so...

4) That banner was intended to be a temporary one for AT's birthday...if its a hassle then take it down...

5) Aj again...We have suggested the whole theme thing before...its harder to create than you might think...I was thinking maybe a creative community, for graphics and stuff...it would be good for a site as well...we could put tutorials and stuff up...and we could showcase some stuff that the members have made...but the problem is, I would need to do a bit more learning in order to pull off that kind of site...but if anyone can think of anything else we can do, that could coincide, or replace that idea, then mention it...

6) Quite frankly, I have to say hats off to KT...she's probably done more in the 2 weeks or so that she's been admin than I've done in the year or so I've been admin...and it might be the case that the change didnt get made soon enough...I think we should thank her for getting this show on the road...I tried awhile back, but I just didnt have the knowledge, or the help for that matter, to get anything serious done around here...but I believe we now have 2 admins who can get it all done...and I'd like to say its about time...I've copped a lot of criticism since Ive been in power...and quite rightly too...there's nothing worse than an admin that is lazy, and manipulative...and I was that all the way...so I probably have to thank you all for not booting me out...I guess the only thing I could contribute was that I was active...

But aside from my indiscretions, I know for a fact that KT will be an excellent addition to the admin team, as she has already prooved...and I guess I have to accept the fact that I just plain wont be the best admin around here...but thats beside the point...

Hey i reckon you're a good admin. I chose you to be in my place not just cause we need an aussie on the team but cause you're one of the most experienced out there in forums, more than me anyway, i just get lucky sometimes :P Anyway yeah i think people respected my decision enough to not kick you out (and cause you actually did things) so don't think you're all bad.

Peter, you're a good admin. Hell, you're the one who taught me how to do half of the stuff I know about administration.
