Title: Is there a such thing as true love?

Yeah, I agree with DT. I know what she means by "that feeling"...I've expereinced it before. I never used to think true love existed, until July Eighth... when I expereinced it firsthand. However, I don't think true love HAS TO BE a permanant condition. It usually is, but it can be shattered under extreme conditions. Love is definitly real.

I pose this question to all.

I have no idea. I used to think that there was such a thing, but as of late I have become a pessimist and a disbeliever of things. This happens to be one of the topics infected by my skeptacism. So my answer is exactly what I began with. I just don't know anymore.

Well..my opinion would be yes. Having true love for someone, is like, loving them all the way, and only having eyes for them. Like, for instance, for teen's, I don't think they will find -true love- until they reach their right time when they meet someone special. Some think that they have "true" love for someone like..a while after they met them. That's not excactly the case. True love has nothing to do with how long you've known the person, it's a feeling you get. I mean, alot of people misuse the word "love"..it get's confusing whether it's even true or not. It's often questioned. Some, they just copy what their partner says, just so they don't make them feel bad. It's understandable that you like someone alot..but..love is a special thing between two people who have eyes for each other. I mean, someone could say that they loved someone, yet, be checking out some other person, now, if you think of it that way, it doesn't make much sense. The way the word is misused, is unbelievable. It's hard to understand. But all in all I think their is such thing as true love, when the term is used properly. My opinion completely though..

:o

 I would have to say.........yes:-P

In the beggining its mostly, ummm......can't remember what they are called, I think its hormones. Sounds good. But yes, in the beggining it is just hormones then when you actually get to know the person is when love plays in.

Well, that works in most cases. The girl I like right now, Instead of jumping into a relationship I waited for like 4 months to see if it was hormones. Turns out its not and well...I love her.

Anywayz, just my deranged veiw on things.

^-^

I have another input on this matter..

In some cases, there can indeed be true love..in other's..no. What I'm saying..it has been proven that true love occurs when a person has the same feelings for one that the one has for the other. You can't be in love with someone, and it be true love, if the other person does not feel the same way. Proven fact. Also, if both people love each other..then it also might not be true love. True love is when they have eyes only for that person. It's just a feeling most cannot explain, including myself. The feeling that this is the person you an love..and for girls..even if the hottest guy walked by..they wouldn't notice..and for guys..if the hottest girl walked by..they wouldn't notice. True love is a feeling two people have for one another, with no exceptions.

When you -really- think hard about this true love stuff..it's like an emotion no one has every been able to explain.. I personally believe there is true love..and it will happen to all of us someday..but..this is the confusing part really. No matter what has been proven, if you like someone enough, and they don't like you..but you wait..and you wait..and you wait..just to save yourself for them..just to give them a chance to see if they really like you..that says something. One of my closest friends waited 3 years for a guy..and they are now together..and trust me..what they have IS true love..it all just depends on the person..and their feelings..

I might have more later..

becuase not ALL loves are perfect

even though im madly in love with my g/f and i get sad after 3 days of not seeing her (weird isnt it........just weird)...but its probably not gonna last....then you would know becuase then ill be really depressed XD (shes the only thing that isnt making me depressed after my best teacher died *crys*)

I'm not really sure I believe in true love or not. In my opinion, there is no imperfect love but there are different degrees of love. I used to believe in true love because I actually found two people who I believed to be my true love. One of them was forced to move when his parents found out about our relationship and the other was ended when she decided to get revenge on me and tell everyone everything about me -.-... One I hope isn't ended yet but it may be unavoidable... My belief in true love was kinda shattered I guess...

I agree there are different types and stages of love; also, there are such things as perfect love, for a short time.

...such a complicated subject...o_OI would have to say there is such a thing as 'True Love'...but it's a very hard thing to talk about...I think I may have found it..but I'm an ignorant teen that knows nothing...anyways...the way Dali describes it is as, no one makes her feel the way i make her feel, and it's the same for me, no matter how sad she is, I can always make her laugh...she moved to Cali now, but we still keep in touch with each other over the phone, as much as her parents hate me..>>.<<...but 'True Love' is a very complicated subject, and is truly hard to describe...I'm not sure what we have, but I'm hoping ^-^
