Title: Concerning limitations
Description: just a clarification...

I was wondering while browsing through the Entertainment section and found redeye_ryu's post about Blink 182. He mentioned something about not being allowed to say you "the band sucks" and the admins won't like it.

Well, I just want to say aren't we allowed to state our opinions? I mean with limitations. If you hate something and have a reason for it and want to hear other's opinions then shouldn't we be free to do that here? After all, we're hating this certain thing (like a band for example) and not flaming other members. As I see it, you associate flaming others with hating things they like.

I dunno... I just think aren't you all a little strict about this? It's a free country! (if not, world! )

If I am wrong about this whole thing then please clear things up right now.

*shrugs* I don't have a problem with it. People want to know more about you whether that be what you like or what you don't like. If you don't post in a thread of something you dislike for fear of being flamed, then people don't know whether you like it or not. Besides, if you get flamed, we deal with the people who flame you.

It's freedom of speech,go ahead let it out.I do not mind at all.But same everyone is open to their own "idea" on things.I guess some people have their reasons for liking or disliking things, but you can say so and so sucks. We don't jump all over you for that.Speak your mind.

There is almost no limit to what you can say about stuff on the forum...we will tolerate you saying this movie sucks or that pizza was crap...but no obscene words...they are sensored (sp) but even so we dont like you saying them here...

But then again...we do not tolerate any abusive language towards members...unless it is in an rp and you are in character...but again nothing to obscene...but NO FLAMING WHAT-SO-EVER!!!

remember when everyone has the quote "stop evil aj" in their sigs in the last forum? not to mention the "we want the truth" stuffs... no harm was done so everything's legal... same goes around this forum... or so, that's what i think. ^^"

you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't break any rules.

reminder
  • no spamming[off-topic, multiple posts, etc.]
  • no flamming[cursing, direct hits on members, etc.]
  • and pls... think first before posting.[includes choosing suitable language for the other members, checking grammar, etc.]

as you've mentioned earlier... this is a world... well, atleast a free forum.

we really appreciate what you did.[bringing up this topic.] ^^, we're getting some feebacks on what the member think about the staffs... and you're giving us some ideas on how to improve this little forum of ours. atleast i have some idea of what's going on. [kinda inactive. ^^"]

thanks a lot. ^_~

That's what I'm saying! Freedom of Speech! ;)

Ok, at least now I'm a little more sure of what I can and cannot post. It's just that, the other forums I've been to are a little less strict on this issue. Of course, flaming and spamming weren't allowed but they allowed people to say anything (with limitations such as obscene language) on any topic.

Thanks for the feedback... I'm a little more assured with myself. :)
