I'm a major claustrophobic. I can't stand being in enclosed places. I panic really easily like that. That's about my only phobia though

I suffer from Luposlipophobia. That's the fear of being chased by hungry wolves around a kitchen table while wearing socks on a newly waxed floor. :D

I'm afraid of, looking directly into someones eyes..screw the names..I'll just name them off.. I can't look directly into someones eyes, I can't go into enclosed spaces. Such as, for example, my eldest brother put a pillow over my head, I feel like I can't breath, then stop breathing, and faint. Those are my two main ones..I'm quite brain dead..also..I'm afraid of some heights..just..depends on where I'm at..I think that's it..

I don't have any phobias, but I do get scared sometimes. I used to be afraid of the dark, but then in 4th grade I started not being able to sleep with any light on whatsoever, so I got over it. Mostly I guess I'm just afraid of being murdered or otherwise dying with a lot of fear and pain (gives you the creeps just thinkin bout that one, huh?).

Haha, you think THAT picture si scary?

I have a retarded picture in my computer. Right there waiting...xp

I don't have any phobias I think...But I'm deathly afraid when "blades" are out, like someones holding them...Which means I'm deathly afraid of any blade, including butter knives. x_x

I don't like being with a lot of people with loud music playing in inclosed space. I have a fear of getting caught doing things. And I'm afraid of getting a lot of homework and stuff.

I have that fear too, i've had a bad experience...

But anyways, here is the (way too long) list of phobias i have:

Achluophobia - fear of the dark
Agliophobia - fear of pain
Dementophobia - im afraid of crazy ppls (no clue why, since i am surrounded by them :P ...)
Merinthophobia - fear of being bound
Philophobia - fear of falling in love (strange, i know, but i am!)
Anuptaphobia - fear of being single
Staurophobia - fear of the crucifix (ok, dead guy hanging on pieces of wood. I am sorry to all of you out there who are christian, but it seems a little gory to me)
Topophobia - fear of failure or defeat

And to add to all these phobias, a wise friend and teacher once explained to me that all fear is ultimatley fear of pain or death. If you think about the reasons WHY you are afraid of the things you are, you will come to the conclusion that it is because it leads up to either pain or death. If anyone thinks otherwise, they can try to come up with something that does not lead up to that.

But yes, these are my phobias!

I don't really have a phobia. I dunno.... I'm not entirely freaked out about heights so I don't think it's something I can be phobic about.

I can manage if I'm required to be in a high place. B)

Bees...I hate bees...there is absolutely nothing that compares to my phobia of bees...wasps are the same...anything that is yellow and black and small and can fly pretty much freaks me out...bad...like once I turned the tap on outside my house to wash my hands and this dead bee fell on my hand and it just got stuck there...I couldnt get it off...(Hey I was 4...cut me some slack...)...and then there was the time a bee stung me and (because Im alergic to the stings...) my arm went up like a hot air balloon over a raging fire...since those 2 incidents Ive been deathly afraid of bees...Ive had a few minor phobias that I have gotten over though...like heights, death, boiling kitchen knives being thrown at me for some reason...you know normal ones...XD

Anuptaphobia - fear of being single

Wait.....if you are afraid of falling in love, how can you also be afraid of being single? I mean, the two things kinda contradict eachother, don't they? Because, if you are so afraid of falling in love, you'd want to stay single. But if you hook up with someone because you are afraid of being single, than you run the risk of falling in love. It's kinda a vicious circle, no?

DianicBealtaine - September 5, 2003 03:25 AM (GMT)
I don't know :P . Maybe these fears are because i have never been in love. I hear all my friends telling me about everything they would do for the one they love. They would die for them, they would carry them over a puddle of mud, and so on.... But i look into their eyes, and they seem so unhappy unless they are with their loved one. They do so many things without a single consideration for themself, or sanity! Some may call it selfless, but i call it foolish. Never having been in love myself, i feel like i have the outside view. I know how much these people care about each other, but it frightens me that someday i might become just like them. Unable to think of my own necessities. You might say whipped :) .
And the fear of being single is because i am tired of being single. Just that.
Yes, it is confusing, and i myself am confused.
