ok! lets get this on.

i chose location, you get first move.

It is on the verge of winter... autumn is falling apart and the last of the orange leaves skip across the lake. teddy looked up at the sky and closed his eyes. Why was this happening now? he was seldom bored but he was also seldom alone. He had come to this place on a whim that there was a darkness gathering. His angel mystique, he now realised was mistaking the coming of winter, the darkest time. He was standing in a clearing, large oaks surrounded the clearing. The lodge he had stayed at last night resided in such beautifully serene part of the region, littered with lake views of the morning swans and rays of lights beaming over the tops of the trees. It was morning but it was still cold and early. Just the way he like to warm up. as he extended his wings to the morning breeze a thought hit him, as if it had been attached to the wind and had brushed through his feathers. This was not normal. This was a being, an energy he had not felt, neither from the dark or of the light. his instincts kicked in. New people to meet! he would no longer be bored! deciding that flight would be faster to meet the new company he took to the skies.

He had always like flying, ever since he realised he had wings. This of course he respected enough to not over do it. It always reminded him of happier better times and in a completely self understood cliched manner, free. he snapped his mind back into place and reminded himself that he was searching for his new friends. Teddy finally spotted a figure across the lake in a clearing next to the entrance of a stream. Teddy made his descent, almost crash landing into his new found company and in his excitement overshot and had to adjust his tradgetoies to prevent him from falling into the water. he leant on his katana sheaths to steady his approach and keep himself upright. Suddenly, embarrassed by his actions he realised what he had done. by revealing his weapons and almost suprise attacking the new found company he had started to look like an enemy. he adjusted his composure and tried to fumble his way around the conversation.

Teddy: Greetings! well, aahh... as you can see im a little clumsy... i guess i just wanted to meet you. i could sense you, you know. i have never known anything like you! you have got to be from somewhere different. like...

Teddy offered his hand out to greet the man, still with his katana in hand.

Teddy: where are my manners? dammit im Teddy! pleased to meet ya!

Teddy, realising what he had done again, retracted, embarrassed.

Teddy: sooo... i know this is early and all... and i probrably look like i want to fight you right now... im sorry, i must apologise for my clumsiness. But, but a friendly match would still suit me just fine!

Teddy didnt even know the guy or anything about him but it looked like he was about to find out...

OOC: Sorry 'bout the delay. Unfortunately I still don't have my own internet. =( But, I should get in a post a week atleast. If not, excuse my inactiveness. :P So, yeah... My character bio's located HERE =)

IC: Adrastos had been travelling a long time. It was reaching the end of autumn and this was Adrastos' favourite time of year, for it wasn't too cold, neither was it hot. He had been walking for the better part of two hours now and felt as though he could go on much longer. However, he was starting to feel hungry. Upon reaching the edge of the lake, he dropped his rucksack on the ground.

As he took his bow from his shoulder, a winged figure swooped down, almost crashing into him and almost falling into the lake. Adrastos left his bow slung over his shoulder and partially drew his sword out of its sheath. He looked at the strange new arrival with a mix of suspition and curiosity. The man seemed like any normal human, but he had wings. Angels came to mind as Adrastos examined the person, who was now heading back towards him. But, Angels don't exist he thought to himself. Angels were depicted in the Holy Bible as Servants of God, and they looked completely different to what he saw before him now.

The man finally came to land in front of him. "Greetings! Well, aahh... as you can see I'm a little clumsy... I guess I just wanted to meet you. I could sense you, you know. I have never known anything like you! You have got to be from somewhere different. Like..." he said.

He suddenly brought up his hand, grasping a Katana. Adrastos reacted swiftly, stepping back and drawing out his own sword. The man introduced himself as 'Teddy'. He sounded somewhat embarassed and he mumbled some more. "...But, but a friendly match would still suit me just fine!" continued the man.

Adrastos smiled. "Very well, Teddy. My name is Adrastos, and I'll accept your challenge," he said.

He didn't know what Teddy was exactly, but it seemed the man/angel had no bad intentions towards Adrastos. Adrastos relished the idea of a fight, for he had plenty of energy he wished to expend. "Ready?" asked Adrastos, and without waiting for a reply, charged Teddy, bringing his sword in an upwards, vertical slash.

OOC: Good luck, dude. =)

teddy had to react fast, he had never had anyone react that swiflty to a battle invite.

Teddy, still having his wings out deflected the strike with the steel hard tip of his left wing. This caused him to tilt left, and still being off balance he brought his right hand up to his face to protect it an dattempt to regain his balance. Teddy realised he would have to respond just as swiftly.

Teddy took his hand up to the scabard on his back and rolled backwards, sullying his wings wth dirt. His roll, being affected by his tilted balance rolled him harder. This was what he was expecting as he rolled up to his feet. He then took one of his blades out and flapped his wings free of the dirt. he leapt forward, without thinking, eager to get the melee underway. his left hand pulled his second blade out from his waist mid leap, running back along his arm. as he removed it he swung sideways at Adrastos, aiming for his solarplexes. this was in really close now, he realised he had to get close to strike at him with the blade in his arm like it was.

At this point he realised that he was having fun.

(OOC: TY, GL to you too.

Adrastos didn't think this battle would be easy, regardless of how amatuer this newcomer first appeared to be in battle. The angel had managed to avoid his attack easilly enough, though not quite so gracefully. Adrastos grinned to himself, ready for his opponent's counter attack. His foe had leaped towards him, covering more distance than any normal human. Owing, no doubt, to the winged apendages sprouting from his shoulder. While those wings seemed to give the angel more of an advantage with mobility, Adrastos was thinking of a way to disable them, short of mutiliation. He didn't want to severely damage his foe. Afterall, this was just a friendly match... unless the opponent acted otherwise. In that case, he wouldn't hesitate in killing the man to defend himself.

Regardless, he swiftly noted his opponent's movements, shifting his stance to better defend himself against the oncoming attack. The angel withdrew yet another blade. One that ran up the side of his arm. Such a weapon would be useful in more ways than one, but for the time being, Adrastos stood his ground, grasping his sword in both hands in front of him.

The angel made an attempt at slashing horizontally towards Adrastos' stomach, but Adrastos merely braced himself and shifted his sword to deflect the blow. The impact resulted in a resounding clash of metal on metal, sending a jolt up both Adrastos' arms. However, he was used to this by now and ignored it. However, he was quick to react. He wasn't sure how the angel would handle the collision from both their weapons, but he decided that at such close quarters, he would use his considerable size and strength to his advantage.

Without giving the angel a chance to back off, he would lunge forward at the angel, intending to force him back and then aim an uppercut towards his chin, hoping to knock him off his feet.

Teddy felt a jolt up his frame as the physical body of his opponent heaved into him. Teddy was strong due to his angel blood bond but he traded agility and lithe for a small frame. He felt the uppercut with full force as he was sent upwards and off balance. Realising they were getting serious he flapped his wings and retreated to the air, not that his opponent had sent him flying already, and teddy was forced to float, flapping his wings a swords length away from his opponent. Teddy thought using his blades at such a close range was impacting on his future friendship, so he opted for other measures, widthdrawing them for now. Teddy summoned the magic within him, extending it towards his wings. He felt a surge of power flow though his body as his heart started pumping adrenaline. He was actually starting to wake up from his morning grogginess. His wings began to glow and extend out to their full ten metre length.

Teddy decided to hold off his true angel strength, plus that would exhaust him and as tired as he was it was stupid to collapse in the morning, waste a day as beautiful as this and waste an actual challenging opponent.

Teddy flapped his giant wings, creating a gale force wind, almost instantaniously, and pushing his body back into the sky, sent a wind vortex spiraling towards his oppenent, intending to knock him off his feet, and lift him off the ground a little. Teddy's lightning fast speed and flying ability would kick in then, as teddy had plans once his opponent was in the air, off balance and working to his greatest strength, and his oppenents greatest weakness, his build.

Teddy flapped off the wind vortex and prepared to dash, hoping his plan would go accordingly
