Russia Warns the US not to Attack Iran

Well, now that Russia is against it, shouldn't we take a little bit more thought before charging in?

Read the comments for SN's own little debate. =p

Quite frankly, I must say I wouldnt worry about what the Russians have to say...considering they are one of the major contributors to the current farce that is the UN...

The problem here is the US cant jump the gun and invade without a reason "again"...while I totally agree with the Iraq war (not how it was handled though), they have to play their cards right this time...

The fact is, the Russians will object to just about any hostile movement other than something that is favourable to them...same with the French, and all those wussy, pain in the ass European countries who continually can the US for things that just plain had to be done...

Now Im not having a go at Europe at all...but their involvement in the UN, and in decisions relating to this sort of thing has for the most part been detrimental to the way things should happen...and yes, Im singleing out France and Russia because they are the main culprits...

Now, if proof comes out that Iran is creating the bomb, then there is every reason to attack them, whether the Muslim community gives a shit about it or not...

In the past, Russia was trying to get Iran to enrich uranium so that they could have nuclear power, like they have said, and not have nuclear bombs.

Bush said no to this and made the whole situation bad and never happen. >_> I would think that he'd agree with this honestly. Maybe we just still don't trust Russia. ><

And the UN is crap imo >.> They say a lot of stuff but in the end, never do anything. It is a good thing we got Sadam out of Power and that whole jazz, but to invade next door, we really aren't ready for that. >< Shouldn't we go ahead and fix up our current situation (which most likely won't be done by the time bush is out of office) instead of making a new one and leaving it for the next president to worry about?

Not to say that the Iranian president is much to congratulate about since, "The Holocaust was a Myth" >< Still after reading that news story it's kinda, gaaaah. Dunno about trusting him that much now.

Still a lot of thoughts saying you know like "Well after Iran bombs NYC, you'll think differently." And it is kind of bad that they took out all the UN cameras. >_> Some things do just need to be monitored and I'm really just iffy about the situation. I really can see the situation escalating and if we do nothing at all, fingers are pointed and going "You let this happen!" on the other hand if nothing happens fingers are pointed and going "Wtf is your problem!?" so we really just don't know. Until we find out more intelligence we shouldn't make more assumptions since our last ones kinda sucked. xD But on the other hand if we wait to long and our worst fears are realized, yeah, that's bad. ><

But that would also be bad if there was a huge reaction from the Muslim world and they all allied against the US. >.> Then, I think, we're kinda screwed. That's a huge world.

They'll make off with your children!
We're not safe until their heads are planted on our walls!

Bah, if Iran is a threat, who cares what the Russians think? They may not be terrorists themselves, but they don't make much of an effort to stop them, either. Weren't they the ones, along with France, who went ahead and traded with one of those middle eastern countries, even after the UN had declared sanctions against them (the middle eastern country, not the Russians)? As for the Muslims, I won't go as far as Shaydah, but I do know that a lot of them are trying to annihilate Israel and the Jews, which is, personally, reason enough to go after them, seeing as how Israel is our ally and all.

But, then again, it's like Ben said: if we attack, then everybody gets upset at us for "unjustly attacking terrorists". If we don't attack, and they kill a bunch of people, everybody gets upset at us for just sitting in the sidelines when we could have prevented the slaughter. No matter what we do, people will find some way to turn America into the bad guy. That being said, we need to just do what's right, and not care what other nations think.

I would have to wait for what Shay would say but since she says they're crazy then they must be crazzzzzy.

Frankly. Bush should just shove it. No offense but the man's a little panicky as of late. He's just friggin' paranoid listening to all your phone calls!

Shawn Michaels - February 22, 2006 11:27 AM (GMT)
Just wanna say, that most muslims are really not that crazy. Or at least, when I went to Iran, all the people were kerrrrrazy nice to me and about the kindest people you'd ever meet. But since all we see on the news are like the crazy rebels or crazy religious ones then yeah. -_-

Trust me. <3

xD I hope you guys didn't get offended; I was just playing aruond! ^^
