Toushiro Hitsugaya - November 26, 2005 05:05 AM (GMT)
Has anyone played it yet????
Im going to soon hopefully.... You get it with Dragon Quest VIII...
Bill Gates - November 26, 2005 06:17 AM (GMT)
Nope, but I'm looking forward to it! I have to admit that I wasn't planning on getting DQVIII this year...until I saw that it came with that demo ._.,
I probably would've picked it up a few months later when the price goes down..but now I want it soon. xD

I was going to but it today.... but i did not have enough for the tax.... damn tax.... how many times has it foiled me thous far????
3..... 3 times......
But its weird though..... the DQ and DW games use to be in competition with Final Fantasy...... and now its sporting a demo for a FF game....
Company mergers are a wondrous thing..... that it is....

Ah, wonder if you'll actually play DQVIII...
What's the point of getting a game for the FFXII demo? Don't sink that low...pleeeeease?
Instead, hire it out and copy the demo. Oops i said that too loud.
Rowr that's a short skirt. Rikku eat your heart out!
Toushiro Hitsugaya - November 29, 2005 09:12 PM (GMT)
the bigger the number... the longer the legs....
And yes i really do want to play DQVIII but im still too much of a FF fanboy....

More like the bigger the number, the less clothes. What the hell do you call what Vaan is wearing? Not that I'm complaining or anything. 'tis a nice view...
I was planning on buying DQVIII...but I was gonna wait for the price drop :D The demo makes me more willing to pay full price now, though.

Whatever it is, it almost seems pointless to be wearing it...not like its leaving much to the imagination...
I dunno, I wouldnt go out and buy a game just so I can play a demo of this...not worth it...maybe if I knew the game was good then i might consider it though...not like its gunna come out for awhile though...

I downloaded the Demo, it was interesting.
The battles are um, different. >.>
(A little bit)

I saw a video of it. It looked fun o_o

At least it's more active. Not legend of mana active yet, but getting there.
Oh and to add what Peter said about the clothes. I doubt any of the clothes these people wear are suitable for battle conditions. I mean that's a tight skirt, it'd probably rip in the first battle.
FFXII is an odd world. It's like, people wearing modern clothing, but in an old world.

Something interesting I found in the wikipedia concerning Ashe's clothing...
| QUOTE |
| According to an interview with Akihiko Yoshida[1], the character designer for FFXII, Ashe was designed to resemble a French woman. However, to appeal to the Japanese market, she was given some Japanese features as well. "The base of her bone structure is a French person's. We were given orders from the start to not make her look like an Asian. But we modified her a bit to look more like a Japanese for the sake of the Japanese audience, and also since a character that looks completely French makes some of the CG expressions difficult." As far as her clothing, they were designed to reflect her home country of Dalmasca, which Yoshida noted "is supposed to have a hot climate." |
Seems like most of the characters have some european looks to them this time, rather than looking asian. FFX supposedly had an entire asian influence to it, so they must be going french, or just entirely european in this one. *shrug*
