I am just gonna start off this thread by asking for those of you who like this kind of gamming to make your self known. I am not really particular about which game you play/played. This is really more about the enjoyment of these kind of games. For the sake of conversation I have played many diffrent table tops including Vampire: The Masqurade, Werewolf, and other White Wolf games. The most recent version of D&D I have played would be 3rd, and I have played a multitude of others which include Star Wars, CyberPunk 2.0.2.0., Shadowrun, and many more. In the case of LARPs my experience is not as broad and only covers a few of the old White Wolf games Like the live action Vampire, and Mage. Also, if there is anyone who has not played any of these games but is interested in them go ahead and post here as well and if you have questions I would be glad to answer them and if I can not then I am sure someone can.

I've just played D&D (can't remember which edition....maybe 3rd? *n00b*). We had a cool DM, but my group kept fucking around during sessions and not meeting for weeks so we never really got anywhere. The highest level any member of my party reached was 5. (I do take partial responsibility for it as well...myself and the other female member of my group had the tendancy to make D&D related sex jokes "Heh....did you say longsword", "I roll a nat. 20 for hawtness!", "Hey god [our term for DM], how bout you letting me fudge a little on this roll if I promise to get down on my knees and pray later ;)"and the like, as well as instigating several "circles of backrub" every meeting or two).
So, in conclusion, I fail.

Sadly I have not played any table top rpgs (aside from a random game of D&D with my brother o.O). LARP however is a wonderful thing. ^.^ I've played for all three days of Otakon for the past two years. (I was Mimiru from .hack//sign in '04 and Yuffie from FF7 this year). LARP is incredibly addictive, I just wish there were other chances around here for me to play. o.o

During last winter and partial ammount of summer we had a group gather round to play D&D on week long binges practiclly. The highest natarual character was level eighteen, the elf monk. I, the human wizard, was level fifthteen who had a tendency to run around casting "Burning hands, b****!" It was great fun, and no matter what other spell I had burning hands always seemed to save me. It was rather amusing when one of our friends tried "getting laid" by rolling for it, however with his poor charisma, bad personallty and such he need eighteen or higher and couldn't roll over seven. His brother took the die and said "Let me show you how it's done" and rolled a natarul twenty. Yeah, that's not even the tip of the iceberg.

We had something like that too. My friend Liam (a fairly charismatic lvl 2 wizard) tried to score with a trio of NPC elf chicks. He rolled a 1. My character (lvl 2 human monk) got 18. I totally should've scored, but our DM had to be evil and note that the elf chicks were straight :P
We also had this thing that anyone who got laid the night before a battle got a temporary +1 "morality bonus" to all their stats XD

Our little D&D game was ver interesting. I was a Chaotic Nueteral Pyrokinetic. I also wore a Chaotic ring that would control my thoughts if I didnt feed it magical items. I burned down my fair share of villages. the only sex that happened was when we were questing for a spell book we needed and we found that it was owned by a nympho nymph that would only turn it over if we survived the night. we had three male characters and we all almost died that night from pure exsughtion. but the good thing was that we got extra bonuses afterwards for becoming more flexible and whatnot. I got a strength boost of 1 for myself.

Also I would like to do the LARP at Otakon but I didnt sign up in time for it. I am going to do it next year and hopefully I will be able to jump right in. I am also an ST for the new Werewolf game comming to Raliegh this January ( \m/ ).

I've only ever done D&D, unsure of the edition, but it sure was fun, we managed to get our characters to lvl 14 by waging a massive war in some random kindom.
we got slack though, havent played since we had that bar fight which resulted in alot of pain and suffering for me (since i was the sorcerer with no physical attributes, and all spells where disabled upon entry), i spent the majority of that fight behind the bar drinking... I blame Tedi for causes the brawl, he had to be the lawfully good paladin and uphold his dam principles against some rowdy customers.

with holidays commin up soon, will prolly try and get a few more sessions going, no doubt, it will result with more bar fights... <_<
