Title: Changes List Version 2.0

Kiefer Sutherland - November 15, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
I thought now that we have a website, I think its time to update the changes list...this is basically a to do list of all the stuff you complain about to be fixed, or suggest that you would like implemented...For now though, Im going to just place some things in that are planned for the future...the changes will be split into 2 categories...Website Changes and Forum Changes...anything that has been dealt with will have a *DONE* written next to it...remember, you can suggest stuff to be fixed/changed in the Advice and Suggestions forum...So, without further ado...

-= Website Changes =-

- Remaining Pages Completed
- Search Function added in (so you can google search right from angeltide...XD...)
- News Ticker on AngelTide news page...
- Login and Registration page created
- Members only area...
- Downloads section
- Submission forms
- Weekly polls

-= Forum Changes =-

- Nothing as yet...

Sorry for double posting, but after a bit of work today at tafe, I have developed some new features for the site...one of which will be added in in the next update...you can check the new things out here...

2 of the new things dont actually work, but I got the basic html down pat now so I can hopefully get them working...the one that does work though will be put in the next update...

Shawn Michaels - November 16, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
I have one suggestion. =p Take the periods off the choices for the poll! xD

Toushiro Hitsugaya - November 16, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
looks good but you would have to put the poll in a box or somthing... so its easyer to read the text..

Kiefer Sutherland - November 16, 2005 11:25 PM (GMT)
I am aware of the lack of readability...Im just demonstrating that I am able to make one...it will most likely look different in the final result...

Hugh Laurie - November 17, 2005 04:45 AM (GMT)
I like the whole thing except the readability alright.

Just a question, will you get rid of the intro thing? I kinda like having that, it's like giving the new people seeing it a history of AT blah blah blah. So I suggest, you should have an update box instead that informs what's new and whatnot... or is that already the direction you're going for?

Kiefer Sutherland - November 17, 2005 05:48 AM (GMT)
Well...actually I was debating whether to get rid of it or not...I guess it is a good intro page...and then I could work a news page around it...that would mean changing the menus though, but Im doing that anyway...so...yeah why not...Ill leave it in...I am planning on having a news ticker thing on the pages as well...so you can see the news anyway on every page...so that would work well...

Also, Id like to thank Shin, RPG (again) and Vion for helping me update the site...DG also volunteered but never got back to me about it so yeah...but yeah, Ally has been updating the writing section and has done a great job there, RPG updated (or at least did update) his review page and vion is on top of the rpg news section...so yeah, thanks to eveyone there...

At some point I will make a submission page, so that people can update whenever they like, and then we'll make people in charge of each section...so yeah...

Have a contributers page. Add the at buttons i made at the links page under "link AT" *nod*

Also, if you need help, I can take care of bios and add whoever makes new bios?=/ i can just follow your format.. or you can ask me of whatever. i'm a bit of an html junkie though i haven't really used it in a while. stock knowledge yo.

Bruce Lee - November 17, 2005 11:36 AM (GMT)
Yeah, so i can have my bio up there finally (which i submitted a while ago).

A submissions page would be awesome, even i'd contribute then.

If by contributers page you mean a page showcasing who contributed to the site, then thats not a bad idea...I might do that...and the buttons you made ARE on the link AT page...o_O

Well I guess I didn't notice... >__>' whoops. Hey, I still would like to help if it's needed. I sent you my email if you'd just send something... ;)

Hey, for the site, can you orientate everything so that the left side of the special features bar lines up with the left side of the banner? Then people in 800x600 don't have to scroll across and words aren't squeezed into the edge of the screen.

It should be centered on the page no matter what screen resolution you are using...

Bruce Lee - November 21, 2005 04:12 AM (GMT)
Well it's not on the comp i have to use for now. And that's 800x600.

Also another thing from the 800x600 side and i think it applies in the 1024 one too but to a lesser extent. Katie, your posts lol. They look funny prolly cause of your centered sigs. There's a huuuuge gap in the column that has your name and stuff and then your post is shown :P Scope it out if you have time.
