Description: Rankine is most often seen wearing his black and gray, lightweight body armor. Rankine's statistics are not on record, because he killed the medical officer assigned to him during his physical examination for reasons unknown. He is estimated at around 6'0" and 185 lbs. History: Rankine made his first appearance 10 years ago and quickly made a name for himself as an efficient mercenary and "problem solver." He only accepted missions on very specific and sometimes bizarre terms, however, and most of the attention was unwanted. Rankine then disappeared for several years until resurfacing at the Elsion Garden.

Personality: Most find Rankine unsettling at best. Keeps most of his activities and motives close to his chest. Exchanges with others are few and far between. Has a low tolerance for annoyance, but is at times surprisingly civil. Most describe the man as appearing intelligent and deliberate but also feel something dark about him. Air temperature around Rankine has been reported to be perpetually cold, but this has not been substantiated as few are willing to get close and the notion is likely myth.

Weapons: Weapon of choice is a personalized and well-cared-for machete with black rubber grip. A large serrated hunting knife occasionally makes its appearance as well.

Weapon Magic: Machete blade ignites in low flames when so desired. People can only guess as to whether this is a magical or mechanical feat.

Character Spells/Abilities: Rankine is either unaffected by temperature extremes or hides his discomfort very well. Rankine does not seem to bleed...for some reason...

Limit Break(s): Absolute Zero- temperature of area decreases by a few degrees per post until called off. Entropy Decrease- greatly increases coordination and accuracy of own physical attacks. Gibbs Free Energy: allows for a single burst of great strength and speed.

Team limits: To anyone's knowledge, Rankine has never worked as part of a team.
