Here's a good game I picked up at Movie Gallery. Castlevania in 3D again (whoo hold the hammers, it's not that bad.)

Lament of Innocence is the start of the story of the Belmonts and their war on the night. Leon Belmont is our hero this time around and apon his love being kidnapped he heads off into the forest of eternal night where he runs into Rinaldo Gandolfi. Rinaldo gives Leon a whip made from Alchemy, which will help him on his way.

LoI plays fairly decent. Controls are nice and responsive for the most part and the graphics are wonderful. However, haters of Resident Evil will also hate the camera angle of LoI as it's stationairy, however it's more like a security camera the does pan and zoom in on Leon, it just isn't a full control camera like most would expect of a 3D game.

Another downfall is the repetive-ness of rooms. The next room looks like the last room you came from and same goes with the corridors. There just wasn't much effort put in room designs I guess. Not to say that this room you see over and over isn't a nice looking room, it just gets old after awhile. Secrets are plentiful in this game, and the battle system is terrific. However hack n' slash as it may be, there's a variety of combos you can preform to mix things up a bit.

Now, this game is extremely easy until a few monsters get involved. The End bosses are a pain if you don't have a full stock of healing items and one sub-boss in paticular is a royal b*tch. Yes, the Forgotten One in the Prison of Eternal Torture is a pain.

Music is great as always.

Oh, sub-weapons are still around. The knife, axe, holy water, and crucifix are still around. And now there's a Gem weapon also (crucifixes are my favorite).

Anyways, if you're a fan or just in need of a new quick game. Go pick it up, it's great.
