Well, we must now step into the realms long forgotten in this D&D based hack n' slash game.
Now before we begin I must say for those of you who don't know. D&D is Dungeons & Dragons, it's a popular tabletop role-playing game and which is probably the single most popular fantasy game. Forgotten Realms is merely a campaign setting that the company made and is based in a land called "Faerun".
Graphics: Amazing, really they are. Enviroments and character/enemy designs are absolutely beautiful. However they're not up there with God of War or other graphicly superior games this is a fairly decent graphic game as it's just a notch below those games.
Sound: Music is great, real good musical pieces get you into the game. Voice overs are alright as are the sounds of battle. Nothing in the great range, but they're alright.
Design: Level designs are alright and it does feel like playing God of War when running through the level as it's more like a 2D level design in 3D so the level is a straight run through. The enviroments placed in the levels are fairly destructable and some things, er, well most always you'll end up breaking something in your path. The whole feel of the game is rather repeative. As for your characters they do have the ability to use gained "experience" and gold to purchase new weapons and spell/abilities but most of the time having a more superior weapon or spell doesn't do much more damage then the basic. It also almost appears the spells of "fire" and "poison" have no real added effect other then to "look cool". There are three characters you can switch between on the fly. A Fighter, A Rouge (Thief), And A Wizard.
Camera: The camera is fairly decent in this game as it's usualy zoomed out far enough to view the whole scene, but occasionaly it'll zoom in to close and while you're hack and slashing through goblins or Yuan-Ti's you'll be wondering where to be and where exactly your team mates are.
Game Itself: With a slightly confusing control scheme, p*ss poor abilities and spells that have little effect and very repeative gameplay. Over all this game just isn't worth the money, no matter how cheap it is now.
Personal Rating: 2.5/10
EDIT: I had this game two weeks before obtaining God of War so my decsion wasn't biased by playing a superior hack and slash, it was just much easier to compare some aspects to the superior game.
