Title: Final Fantasy

Well last week I found this awesome system for 40 bucks, it was a modern NES. Came set with two controllers and such and I snatched up a bunch of games with it (Super Mario/Duck Hunt, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Double Dragon) but of course, I saw for thirty dollars a copy of Final Fantasy. So yeah, I snatched it up too. Unfortunately I belive the game is having a wee bit of a problem as after I named the heros and started flying around on a green screen it went to a random encounter and froze... I cried. Now i've tried the ever almighty blowing on the cartridge, any other remedy's anyone can remember that may help.

Rubbing alcohol and a q-tip usually worked for me. Does it always freeze on the same spot?

Was that copy of FF just the cart???? if so you got riped off for $30... you can find it at alot of places for $10.... if in box you got a great deal... i got mine ment condetion for $50.....

And what Katrak said... a Q-tip and Rubbing Alcohol is alway the best thing.

I don't care if I shelled out $30 for it, I live in kansas, New video games are hard to come by. Old NES ones are impossible to come by.

Thanks KT, I forgot about that little trick. And yeah, it locks up at the first random encounter every time. I hope nothing's wrong with the game. I wonder if I still got that cleaning kit for the NES.

Yeah, 'cause if it locks up on something like that..could be something wrong with the cartridge. That game's like..almost 20 years old now? ^^,,

Goodluck! Wish I had the chance to own the original ;-;
