Just had to post this. Who's seen it? I know Rufus has, one day before me (damn you!) but i just saw it then and it is soooooooooooooooooooooo awesome. Seriously, it is much better than you think. The fight scenes and music are unbeatable.

I watched it four times yesterday. Once at 2:30AM(after it finished downloading xDD) again at around 9:00AM when I burned it to DVD, again around 2-3PM..can't remember, and again at 8:30PM.

It's like, each time I watch it, I realize that I overlooked something(prolly 'cause I didn't sleep a wink and was delirious throughout the whole day)...so I kept watching xD That, and I was grinning for like an hour after the first watch, and like, laughing 'cause it didn't sink in that I just watched it...rofl

Yeah i had to watch it 3 times to get everything understood. I also missed small areas in fights the first couple of times cause i was still in awe of the awesomeness. The fights are :o~~~

i noticed though that there were scenes missing from the movie that were in the first few trailers that were released. Namely, the part where the explosion sends cloud up on his bike and he slams down on Kadaj with his blade on the bike. Although i think they just modified it, cause there was a slam down bit after the explosion.

Hey Katie (still spoilers) do you think the last little thing Cloud used on Sephiroth was omnislash? Sorta looked like it, how he swirled his blade beforehand and the finish was sorta the same. I picked up a few of his limit breaks though:
Braver: Against Bahamut
Blade Beam: Against Loz to block his ground smash thing. Also against Sephiroth when the three lines are created in the ground.
Climhazzard: Against Bahamut (which was awesome)
Finishing Touch: I'm pretty sure this is what he uses against Kadaj before he turns into Sephiroth (spun his blade a little and then sent him flyin)

I'm just gonna label this entire thread full of spoilers for full discussion, 'cause yeah, there's a thread in the Daily Gaming for AC also, that is non-spoilerish.

I noticed loads of Limit Breaks used in the movie too. Red XIII looked like he used Sled Fang on Bahamut, Cid used Hyper Jump on Bahamut, Vincent transformed into his cape, or something to save Cloud from Kadaj in Ajit, Tifa used Beat Rush, Somersault, and Meteor Strike for sure on Loz, and stuff that somewhat looked like Dolphin Blow and Water kick, though it could've just been a normal kick *shrug* and I'm not certain, but I believe Yuffie used Greased Lightning on Bahamut.

*SPOILERS ABOUT LAST ORDER*

I reckon it was pretty cool in areas, like Zack fighting the shinra troops and Sephiroth, and the little Cloud vs Sephiroth bit. However i believe that there are some story alterations in it. Like Tifa finds her dad outside of the mako reactor, Sephiroth seems to kill himself by jumping into the reactor with jenova's head and Zack gets killed in the truck, by the turks in a helicoptor. Pretty good though how it followed the FF7 script a bit.

There are very few words I can think of that describe the amazingness of this movie...They nailed it...they really did...it had everything...

The fight with Sephiroth has got to be my favourite part...when I first saw the trailers with Sephy in them, I thought he would only make a cameo, but man, a whole kickass battle!

Oh, and how cool is it that Rufus made an appearance as well! George...we were right...

They finally did it.... a movie based on a game that totally kicks @$$...

It was hilarious when Reno smacks Rude in the face by accident. I had a felling it was Rufus in the wheelchair and I was right, and im glad they brought him back. Plus I liked that they gave Zack a cameo.... but I wished he was in it a little more

Every fight scene was spectacular....... especially the Sephiroth battle.

But just like the original FF7.... it leaves me wanting more..... they still have room to make another sequel..... they got a whole 497 years to fill

Yeah I've seen it and love it..... I just would of liked it if Zack was in AC some more but I guess becouse Last Order is pretty much all him, they decided to pretty much leave him out of AC.... but i can live with that...

It's got an interview with Nomura I guess, and he explained a lot of stuff that was left unmentioned in AC, such as how the sword works, and whatnot. I can't understand a bit of it, 'cause I can't read japanese ^^, Supposedly there's gonna be more compilations, according to a machine translation..but I dunno how reliable it is. The machine translated Aeris' name to Air Squirrel...xD

Whatever the translation, it's the thing Reeve's in charge of, and part of the plot in Dirge of Cerberus. That's prolly why we didn't see Reeve in AC, he was doing W.R.O. stuff.

Kadaj with all the kids gave me a weird MJ vibe... especially when he twirled his hand in the air. Did any one else get that feeling..

I've seen it 5 times but i'm gonna stop for a bit so it really doesn't get old (cause every movie has the potential to get boring).

The other thing that is awesome about the movie is the soundtrack...the song where they are in the tunnel is great...I love the revamped turks theme, J-E-N-O-V-A and One Winged Angel...kickass...

Cait Sith did little in the movie though...just like in battles in the game!

after watchin the movie over and over, and playin my fav scenes (of course its the ones with Rufus) I just can't get enough of the movie. although diferent variations in the translation exist i just really like my version of Rufus's awsome qoute towards Kadaj. "Figure it out, You who lack Filial Piety". with that said, I really enjoyed how they made the transiston of characters from txt boxes, to actual voices, it was done soo well, i'm dredding a dubbed version of it. :( hope they don't stuff it up and have cloud sound like ash from pokemon *shudder*

The Jap voice actors where perfict in my opinion... they better do a good job with the sub.

To be honest, I thought that the jap version of cloud was a bit too deep for my liking...other than that they did a great job...and really thats just a minor gripe...

However, it shouldnt be too hard to get the dub right...I mean, they know what they need so they should find who they are looking for...think CB people...the dub for that was excellent...

I guess Seph could have won the battle if the other two fused. Kadaj always mention something about reunion of them, so I guess the other two are needed together with Jenova's cells to complete the fusion/reunion.

The soundtrack was awesome, everything. I mean all were familiar music from ff7. ROCK MAN! MOST WERE FREAKIN' ROCK!!! yeah! XD Rock version of one winged angel, etc. and oh! it's a 1:41 mins of mobile phone advertisement. hahaha! XD

I was told by my friend that Cloud's sword was called First tsurugi, which I don't get btw. Tsurugi is somewhat a katana. err... and oh! Omnislash v. 5.0 as the finishing move to Seph. O_o" What part of that 6 slash finishing move spells 5.0? Which part of that 6 blades spells 5.0? O_O"

I think alot of movie companies should look at that exact quote and think, what can I do to get people like AJ saying that about out movies?

Not only did they create it from one of the defining games in history, but also, they just made it good...I think its an art form and Square Enix nailed it...and alot of movie companies make the same mistakes over and over...and the same can be said for games made from movie lisences...

However, Im a bit surprised that it sold out in a week...thats pretty phenominal, especially for a game based movie...normally you would associate that with a big hollywood blockbuster, but it really shows how well it was made...now lets hope they nail the dub as well...if that happens, well we could see Square Enix with more money than an oil tycoon...and thats alot of money at the moment...XD

Well FF7 was one of the best selling games ever, so naturally if the creators do a good job at the movie it'll be big. I think capcom should "borrow" some of this technology and make a Metal Gear Solid movie. That would be awesome.
