Vua Rapuung - January 26, 2005 04:57 PM (GMT)
Name: Vua Rapuung

Age: 185

Race: Male Human/Demon Hybrid (His father was an Incubus)

Class: Outcast Mage

Alignment: Neutral/Dark

Description: An Roughly handsome man appearing in his early forties with a long, straight mane of dark hair that is flecked with grey. He is tanned and his face is covered by number of scars giving him an almost mocking grin. Though of slightly lower than average stature, his emerald eyes seem alight with the power that both his age and scars have earned.

He is often garbed in loose, dark trousers and tunic of a non-descript nature covered in a homespun cloak and hood of similar colour.

History: Born as the result of an incubus' conquest to the wife of a tenant farmer. Vua's upbringing was rough. Since the farmer could not produce children he saw the newborn'proof' of her infidelity and promptly turned her out. Leaving the village in disgrace the mother raised her child in the woods.

At some time later the child began to display some unatural abilties and so the mother, doing what she thought to be best left him with a kind sorceror as an apprentice promising that she would not forget him and would write back whenever she could.

Finishing his apprenticeship he left his master to find his mother who had stopped writing to him. Upon reaching the Baron's estate where he was last told she worked. Vua was horrified to dicover that while she was first employed as a maid to the Baron she had since provided a very different service as first his mistress and eventually his third wife. Horror turned to fury as he vowed to avenge this betrayal and so disguising himself as a servant he gained entry into the fortress, killing both his mother and her husband who with their dying breaths cursed him to be forever alone.

Ashamed by what he had done Vua sunk into anger and dispair as he travelled far and wide looking for a way to banish the curse that clouds his soul...

Personality: After spending many years alone he talks little and trusts even less, those few he decides to trust find a stalwart (if somewhat paranoid) ally, possesed of an incredible dry humour and the tortured soul of a poet. He is a good advisor, patient and serene; able to draw upon a wealth of experience and willing to listen to all points of view.

Weapons: The Amphistaff, Concealment Cloak, Magic Pouches

Weapon Magic: The Amphistaff: A staff of solid yew that is carved in the shape of a snake and is capable of deployment as either a staff, whip, spear, or longsword. The weapon has been gifted with its own life force and has a poisonous bite. the weapon will also turn blades whether normal or enchanted. Concealment Cloak: A cloak that allows the wearer to blend in rather than rendering the wearer invisible. Magic Pouches: Pouches that can store anything as long the item can fit through the opening of the pouch.

Force Lightning: A blast of lightning that saps the target of life force and delivers it to the wielder.

Fury Storm: A gust of an unatural icy wind that strikes the target

Insight: The abilty to augment the wielders natural senses and attributes (sight or agility for example) and also to merge consiousness with another being with the potential for communication or to alter their perceptions

Telekinesis: Moving objects by the power of thought (Plus the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away :D :P :D )

Protective Wards: Spells that shield the wielder from damage. these vary depending of the what the ward is meant to defend against.

Vua is also skilled in many of the lesser arts such as sleight of hand, capentry and forging.

Limits of Magic:

the more complex the spell the more effort is required to produce and sustain the effects. Spells such as Summoning and Soul Eating require a degree of ritual and preparation for them to be completed. Spells such as Telekinesis have a limit to how powerful they are.
