Kaine sits atop a hill observing the city, and all of its's crimes occuring in the midst of the day. The shop owners scarcely noticing the theft of small fruits from thier shops.

Kaine:What shall I do today? I could kill a few thiefs, but that is no challenge.

He then turns around, and screams.

Kaine:IS THERE NO ONE ELSE?! I DESERVE A CHALLENGE, AND SOMEONE HAD BETTER GIVE IT TO ME!!!

He then sits down next to a tree and awaits anyone who heard his call.

Shijo was dozing in the upper third of a tree. His master had no missions for him to complete at this time, and it was suggested to him to go into the forest and further his training. Shijo was a dedicated ninja type, but sometimes, hell, he needed a break. This was such a day.

The sun was shining, the shadows of leaves dancing gleefully about his face. He was near the edge of the forest, near a hill, overlooking a sort of small village that Shijo was unfamiliar with. He'd done some running, some sword exercises, the type of thing ninjas do.

He yawned. He closed his eyes. Somebody screamed. He opened his eyes damn sharpish. Startled, he instinctivley sat up, which, on a narrow branch, was not his best choice of movement. He lost balance, slipped down the one side of the branch.

He righted himself in mid air, and landed silently in a crouched position, head lowered to relieve pressure on the spine.

He slowly raised his head and looked out through his eyebrows. He saw a man standing a short way away from him. He smiled.

"Further my training, I was told." he thought to himself. He brought himself to upright standing position and held his sheathed sword up towards the man. "Be careful what you wish for, friend."

Kaine, due to his demonic abilities, heard a small comotion near a tree not too far from him.

Kaine:Who is it?! Are you a challenger?!

He then sees a young man fall out of the tree, and land on his feet, he points his sheathed sword at Kaine, and says a few words.

Kaine:Be careful what I wish for? That attitude will be your down fall...."Friend"

(Ha, threesome battle anyone?)

Theonari was riding on her horse away from the small town. "Where shall we go now?" she asked no one in particular. Then she heard someone yelling behind her. All she understood was, "Challenge" and "give it to me". Assuming that was all she needed to hear she turned her horse around and rode near the sound. When she arrived she saw to warriors about to fight. "Hi boys, mind if I crash the party?"

Before Kaine or his new found foe had a chance to engage in any combat whatsoever, a young lady arrived on a horse, hoping to challenge the two of them

Kaine:Pf, Do you think that you can defeat me? Ha, that's a luagh well deserved.

Kaine then gives the lady a signal to fight if she wishes, and awaits either of his apponents attacks.

"Interesting." Shijo grins at the increasing intensity of training. He stifles a yawn and realises he's too tired for this right now. "You seem eager enough, miss. Please, you go first."

He makes a shallow bow to gesture the girl to continue, and walks over to another tree, trying to think of a way to wake himself up fully.

"Training is training," he thinks, "but will these people take it like that? Fighting with real weapons is a dangerous game. I'll have to take this seriously and observe their abilities."

"Suit yourself. Although a was looking for a real challenge but I suppose one of you will do. Lets go. Its a bit dark don't ya think?" She got off her horse pulled a match out of her saddle bag and lit a fire. "That should do it." She grabbed some darts out of her pack also and quickly swiped them through the fire. She held them ready and waiting, "I love fighting don't you?"

Kaine watches as she swipes her darts through the fire that she created. She got in her fighting stance, and mumble a few words.

Kaine:Yes, I do. I find it very intriguing, and such a blood rush!

He then rushes at her, pulls out both of his katanas, jumps over her, and attampts to cut the back of her knees.

She jumped out of the way and threw her darts aiming at his heart. "Wow not too bad. Nice speed, but lets see how you manage this one." The fire stayed on the darts burning brightly and not dimming in the least.

Kaine just barely moves out of the way only being skimmed by one the dartson his left arm.

Kaine:Wow, great counter, I am going to love this.

He then sheeths his katanas, and at the same moment, he pulls out his two small knifes, and throws them at the women.

Kaine:Let's see how you manage with this! HehHeh.

Grabs a large rock to deflect the knives. "Easily," points behind Kaine, "you might want to watch yourself buddy. The darts that didn't hit their target turn around and continue to follow Kaine.

Kaine turns around, and sees the darts turn around, and begins flying back at him. He attempts to dodge them, but they catch him by the leg, and he falls to the ground. Almost instantly after he hits the ground, the darts melt.

Kaine:Do you know what I am?...No? I am a demonic angel, and the conflicting races running through my viens constantly fight, and destroy anything they touch.

He then gets up and sprouts his wings in a flash of darkened light. He then flys high into the air and dive bombs the women.

"Yawn, oh please. My weapons may melt but they still injure you." She grabbed her bow wrapped her flail to an arrow. When she shot it the flail released from the arrow and wrapped around Kaines body. She fired another arrow but aimed for his head. "This could turn out bloody." She moved to the side hoping to avoid his attack.

As the arrows are rushing towards him, he uses his super telekenisis to unsheeth his sword, and deflect the bows. He then breaks the flail's chain, with some struggle might I add.

Kaine:I can see that this is going no where. I propose that we consider this a draw, and go our for a drink. You are a fine Lady, and an even better fighter. I would like to get to know you.

He sheeths his sword, and begins walking towards the esit of the forest.

Kaine:If you would like to talk. follow me.

She whistles for her horse and mounts up. "I suppose, but if this is a trick you'll regret it." She then followed but was still on guard. Looking back at Shijo, "Well you can go do whatever you want for now. I'll be back this way later, if you still want to be beaten."
