What do you guys think about Astral Projection? Do you believe it can be done? A friend and I were talking about this in class last week... On the surface, it does seem quite incredible, but stranger things have happened. I am beginning to think it might be possible. What do you guys think on the subject?

I've heard of astral projection although I've never done it myself. Seems possible to me and someday I'd love to try it. Gotta do some research on it first though.

...I just read this site on Astral Projection. And eh... It sounds cool and all, but don't we experience it already? >_> Something called our dreams? Like stuff they said...xD Is obvious.

Keep your body warm. >_> Duh. If you want to sleep, you do have to clear your thoughts. x_x That's why people go crazy when they can't, but if you want a dream about something, you should be thinking about that...Thing. And more than likely you'll have a dream about it. Then yes, before you really sleep I know you see weird lights or whatever. xD Or maybe that's just me. x_x

Then yeah, but who doesn't know when they're in a dream? >_> I can't remember the last dream I didn't know., and I have dreams every night so. xD

Anyway, so I don't know if I believe it. I think they just took out all common sense or something and put it into a list for people who want dreams more often or something. o_O

I think we're mixing astral projection with lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is having a dream where, while you are in the dream, you kinda realize you are just dreaming and are able to influence what happens in it (for example, having a flying dream, realizing you're not awake, and then deciding to fly to Dairy Queen for some ice cream). Lucid dreaming is a documented and accepted dream phenomena.
Astral projection, on the other hand, is considered a form of extrasensory perception (ESP). In astral projection, one's soul or mind or inner being or whatever is thought to be able to travel beyond one's physical limits (like, say, your body being in your room and your spirit being across town). Most scientists believe that astral projection (like telepathy, precognition, telekenisis, clairvoyance, etc.) is impossible.
I myself agree. There is no evidence found that ESP is real in any form. Sure, it'd be cool if such things were possible, but as far as we know it's just another myth we have created for ourselves.

I totally agree here...This is supposedly where fortune tellers get their "powers"...the problem is, our brain has no way of communicating with another brain on it's own...

Thats not to say it cant be done with some sort of technology...I firmly believe that at some point in the future, someone will invent a device that will allow people to "see" what others are thinking...however, without this piece of technology, it is impossible...no question...if it was possible, then I think it would be alot more accepted...the problem is though, this ability would mean that alot of things that involve strategy and thought will become useless and obsolete...
