Title: Human Race
Description: Multiple Theorys on The Making
CelestialFury - December 12, 2004 05:06 AM (GMT)
Okay some of you may think I'm nuts but as I said before I have a very open mind. Okay here's my first theory.
1: Are we just a dna replica of aliens that were out to begin a new race since their's was dying out?
To a certain extent I could believe this. Has anyone seen, um... I think it's called Red Planet or it could be Mission to Mars. I'm not sure. All I know is it has that Gary guy in it and Jerry O'something guy from Sliders in it. Well at the end of the movie they discover that the human race was made from alien's dna that was going to try and rebuild on a new planet. I mean really we don't have any evidence but then again we could. Our government hides so much that you would not believe. I wouldn't doubt there's an Area 51 with everything in it like Independence Day. Heh then again I could just watch too many movies. XD
2: Did we evolve from apes/monkeys?
This theory is also possible. There is so much scientific facts that it's not funny. So yes perhaps we could of evolved from the apes.
3: Were we created from God?
There are also people that believe we were also made the bible says. But then that's where Science and Religion collide and have always been into it for years. And I don't doubt that in years to come people will still be out arguing the truth behind it.
4: Combination of question 2 and 3?
Okay now this one is just as farfeched as the first one but could also be true. Who says we didn't evolve from apes? But who also says we didn't come from God? I can take both theorys and run with them. First off, god did created everything. But as the bible says Adam and Eve damned the human race forever. So in order for us to feel his wrath, he went in and destroyed everything once more. Then instead of giving us eternal Eden like before he went in and made it so that we evolved from the apes theory. We shall never know. It's just like one of those questions that no one can answer just like 'What is the meaning to life?'
Heh sorry if this kinda blows everyone out of the water but it came to mind and I thought that it would be perfect to put this here. But yeah please don't pay any attention to my twisted mind. ^ _ ^

Ah, that's not very farfetched, considering there's also the Big Bang theory that our solar system and everything in it was created by the explosion of a star. When you think about it, the Big Bang theory makes sense. Our bodies are composed of many many elements, as with everything else. But then again...why is it that a rock isn't living, but we are? Different elements?
I think there's another theory out there somewhere (can't recall the name) that we have evolved from microscopic organisms that were formed during the supposed Big Bang. I remember reading something on it...and it was a really creepy feeling with all the details these people went into.
Now the God theory seems more supernatural than any of them because, well, to take some content from Full Metal Alchemist, you can take every single element that makes up a human being and try to create one, but so far it's never been possible to revive or create a human being. There's always that something missing. Is it miracle of God? Who knows?
I haven't read the bible, so my religious knowledge of how the we were created is very simple, and those who are religious in my life have told me, "You are the child of God."
However, if you take science into mind, this isn't logical. Science can't explain miracles, or a God. There is no evidence that a God exists..other than faith in the bible that says so.
I really don't know what to believe.

Actually he did destroy the earth by a flood. Ever heard the story about Noah's ark? Yah well the planet was so full of chaos and destruction already God destroyed everything and chose his one faithful servant (that'd be Noah) so save some animals and his own family. But it doesnt say anything about apes evolving and repopulating the earth.

If this was true then the solar system would already be made. Otherwise....where did the star come from?
Actually there are very many scientific studies that prove God does exist. He is not just "a god" he is "the God". The Big Bang theory is kinda lame when you think about it and so is the "We evolved from apes" theory.
Apes?: I will not deny that humans and monkeys have alot of common characterisitics but their are also very many differences.
In the Bible it says that God made us from the dust of the earth. Now I know some would prolly rather be a monkey compared to dirt. One proof of this is that we have many properties that dust has in our bodies. And You would probably try to make the same argument about apes.
And I'm not trying to sound like some weird God radical (I prefer the term Jesus Freak ^-^ ) but I strongly believe that he made the earth.
I will further research this topic so I can explain better but for now I'm just writing what I remember.
Try asking me specific questions to answer and I will gladly answer them to the best of my ability.
Oh and I honestly dont think your nuts. These are commonly asked questions.

Consider this...
(Remember that we believe God is ALL POWERFUL, which problly sounds rediculous to you.. but heck it does to me too, but I've studied and found reasons to believe it) If God created the univers, not just the earth and outer space but all of existenc (time, energy, other various laws of physics that I'm good with but hate going into details of becaus the make my brain hurt), then he would not be bound by these physical laws that we are bound to. He created them, why would he create something that would bind him and control him in ways? There are many facts about this that we cant explain or understad just becaus were.. well.. human. For instance, the fact that before God created the uneverse He existed in a plain with no time or matter.. dont picture that, it'll make your head hurt.. trust me. But just becaus WE dont understand dosn't mean they cant be true. We have other concepts that we know are true, but can't understand. Infinity is one... ever think about something that goes on forever? No beggining, no end.. yet it's a real concept. It's proven by math.. we all well know that there is NO "highest" or "lowest" number. Numbers are infinite.
Also, with the Big Bang and other evolutional theories we have to assume that time, energy, and matter already existed or assume that nothing blew up for no reason (becaus there was no energy) and not only created everything that exists but also created that ever mind bogling concept of TIME. If these things did exest there is no explaination for their exestence. Now, some theorize that God used the Big Bang to create the universe, however this is not what is stated in His account of creation.
I'm not exactly giving any answers right now, but just some things to consider...
chaos - December 13, 2004 06:13 PM (GMT)
Well if we were created by the big bang what created the things that caused it? What made god? Everything has a beginning and an end... Life is weird. After reading this topic my mind became jumbled... I'll post more later.
Edit:
I believe we evovled. I think the world was created by the big bang which made small organisms which caused many species to evolve and form. We came from apes which came from.. Whatever. I don't know.
This is a hard thing to debate since none of us truly know. We may have theories but we will never actually know the meaning of life and what has caused so many things until we die.. Maybe we won't learn fuck all and just fade away and live on in other peoples memories. Thats the only true afterlife in my eyes, living on in other peoples memories. Forget everything else.
The only way we'll learn about our creation is by death, seeing what occurs beyond it I guess. Or else talking to a psychic, those people know alot and can truly help you.. well, for a price.
Treya - December 13, 2004 08:05 PM (GMT)
I strongly believe that God does exist and created the earth. Though I wont tell you this is a fact (even though I think it is) because that would just sound arrogent. I believe that God doesn't have a beginning or an end (which this is probably why people believe he doesnt even exist) think of it as a circle, but the world does have a beginning and an end. In the Bible it says there will be a rapture and all the followers of Christ will be sent with him. After that there will be a seven year period for everyone who didn't believe at first to have another chance of life in God. I'm only saying this because when it happens you will all know that I spoke the truth. And no I'm not physco
This is my opinion....I think I'm done. Dont want to have any enemies here or anything but if you ask my opinion I'm gonna give it strait out. :D
CelestialFury - December 16, 2004 05:18 PM (GMT)
Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But back on the bible and perhaps this is under another topic. Anyways, haven't you also heard that God has already let everyone into heaven that is already there. That the rest of mankind is doomed to hell no matter what they do? I have heard of this one as well. (Heh, twisted mind again.) To go in a bit further. There was only so many spaces in heaven, the so little that God made available. Which now they are all filled up and also I think there's like a few other spots for a chosen few. I mean this theory is a liitle much as well. But as I said man kind is doomed to hell anyway. No matter how many good deeds you accomplish, no matter how good you are in your religion following the rules. You're pretty much screwed all the way around. Okay yeah... Maybe this was pushing it a bit now... XD

Well I think..God made us all..But mostly I do belive in the monkey thing..Being hairy and shit like that..We must all came from monkeys..-blinks- If there was a God then why he not stops the war and killing..Come on if God was real then why so many people die..Also Go make people have feelings..Like who the hell need ot feel and shit. Just get rid of feelings all together..THen you can live a most happy life with no care in the world..Go does not but take people away..SO in other words..We all come from monkeys b/c Go is a fake! -blinks-
Sean Connery - December 20, 2004 08:21 PM (GMT)
Well, even though I kinda agree with you, I'mma play devil's advocate for a sec.
If you've ever seen Futurama, they have an episode where Bender gets thrown out into space and life forms on his stomach, making him a god to the beings he is inhabited by. Whenever he tries to help them, things get worse. Whenever he dosen't help them at all, they still get worse. So, assuming this has some validity, if God exists, the reason we're still fighting is our own. Any god can only lightly push their creations in the right direction - do too much or too little and the balance is disrupted.
Why people die is simple: people die so people can be born. If no one ever died, there would be no place for the new people. Think about it, we're already overpopulated already, yet we'd be much MUCH worse off if no one died. And, since everyone does sometime, it's only fair. Everyone has their turn, as it were.
Feelings. To know happiness one must also know sadness. To know light, one must know dark. There is always a good feeling or perception to balance out a bad one. And although collectivly no one NEEDS to feel, it is what guides and shapes morals, being able to put yourself in another person's shoes and realizing we can influence others by what we say or do. And, I don't know about you, but I'm glad I can feel. Pain is one of the greatest drives for creativity - it is what fules the need for self expression that gives us artists and writers and sculptors and architects and actors. All of humanity's greatest accomplishments stemed from the ability to feel things. And although pain is...well...painful, think of all the positive emotions. Joy. Happiness. Love. To know them, to appreciate them, you have to feel. It is impossible to be happy without emotions - it's like trying to say the skies would be bluer when one is colorblind.
However, I still must say that as "right" as our world seems, I still believe it to be an accident. The reason it is as it is is because it works - if it didn't work, it wouldn't survive. If there was something wrong with people, we wouldn't live to be here. So the reason we are the way we are is the natural order of things. The best man wins, the strongest survives, end of story. We are here because something happend and - woops - here we are.
At least, that's my theory.

I have been taught that the reason God doesn't stop war and death is because basically man sins. God could just turn us all into robots would you prefer that? Actually judging from your point of view u probably would. Are you going to tell me that you'd rather be a cyborg robot monkey than a creature with self expression and choices to live your own life? Well God gave us all a choice and since we have that choice we are going to sin and there will always be death and decay until the Lord comes and ends it.
Winged Alexiel - December 20, 2004 11:51 PM (GMT)
Well the lord given and the lord taken..But is does not matter now does it no...Well people had no feelings then no one will do anything bad..Maybe jsut get rid of emtions all together..No one needs them..So there is not point in having them..Emtions make people crazy..God give people emtions so we can use them to kill and start wars..So like whatever..Monkeys are just better people..They don't care what people think..Monkeys are the wya to the furtune..So free the monkeys!

1: Are we just a dna replica of aliens that were out to begin a new race since their's was dying out?
I'd don't believe we're a DNA replica of aliens... Because, there's WAY too many differences... And, it wouldn't make any sense... And besides, other than the emotional, and mental differences, there's A LOT of physical differences... I don't see how it was possible either.
2: Did we evolve from apes/monkeys?
I don't see how we were. Sure, we have certain similarities, but, look at the differences too. And, just because science says it... Just because they point out the obvious... "They have two eyes" ... "They are smart, intelligent beings..."... Doesn't mean a thing. I could say that about dogs too.
3: Were we created from God?
My own personal opinion says yes. I believe we were made from God, because, I believe in the Bible too... I read it, and follow it as my day to day guide for being a woman/girl of God. If we weren't created by God, how were we created by anything else? Evolution for instance... How were we transformed from monkey's to humans? Did they have something, and suddenly, out of the blue, we're a human? What sense is that?
4: Combination of question 2 and 3?
I believe number 3. Mostly, because, if they have physical evidence, where's the evidence that we DID come from monkey's/apes? As I stated... Did we just somehow get born from a monkey and they named us humans? How is it possible for this to happen?
.::Broken::.
Winged Alexiel - December 21, 2004 07:03 AM (GMT)
Still you got to free the monkeys.. Monkeys are very smart like us humans..So we have to be like them..and if not then blah to you all...-eyes a bit- If God made use then why is he not here to portect us fro mthe killings and all..I thinks it just sucks and all..-hangs head- Sorry but come on and thinks people..
Treya - December 28, 2004 09:09 PM (GMT)
(freeing monkeys has nothing to do with this debate, lol)
God is here to protect us from death, but people must die to fulfill his master plan for the world. Everyone dies for a purpose and all things work out for good if it is in God's will.

Well maybe he does what i do with my dogs, let em fight it out, figure it out on their own that it hurts, you can't allways have someone to hold your hand.

I'm a religious person, a Roman Catholic. I celebrate the Sacrament of reconciliation about once every 2 months I think, and try to go to church every Sunday. I've read the bible.
However, I don't think you should believe everything the bible tells you, literally anyway.
I don't believe we were created from "Adam and Eve" Two humans. And the man was created first...His rib was taken and given to the woman...She tempted him, he fell for it...Then they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden.
Nah. I think this is all symbolic. I can believe us evolving maybe not from monkeys/gorillas but from SOMETHING. If you look at our bodies from even the Ice Age, our skulls, weren't the same, we were shorter people, and the way our posture was, isn't the same as ours is right now.
So, maybe we became what we are, from a mix of all of this. Including adam and eve. I highly doubt though, that that whole story is true. Maybe parts of it.
The whole war thing, and why isn't he helping us...It's because God gave us freedom of choice. We chose to do war, it was our choice. It can also be from what Matt(BP9) said though. ^^ Smart comment Matt! ;)
And also...Ally's right. If everyone lived, this world would be overpopulated, people would be falling out of the earth. xD People die, so that others can be born.
But do they really die? I don't think so. I think after death we go to purgatory to be judged then go to our place.
And what is this about "Heaven" being filled. o_O Who made Heaven? [[God.]] God is time, space, and everything. If he could make the universe, why wouldn't he be able to make a heaven? An infinite place perhaps? >_> Heaven can't be "filled" Besides, it isn't YOU that goes to heaven. It's your soul.
My CCD teacher told me last year, that we should believe in science and in religion, and not ignore the other one.
Like the whole gay thing...I'll only put a little on this. In the bible it says it's wrong, but...I really doubt this. Maybe that whole thing means something else. Because if God didn't want gay people, then why would he make them and "condemn" them to hell? Gay people don't go in their teenage years and go "Hm! I think I wanna go different and pretend I'm gay!" No. It's even be scientifically proven, that gay people are BORN with the an estrogen being higher than it should be, which makes them attracted to the same sex.
We don't even have the right to condemn them and say "YOU'RE GOING TO HELL." Or damn people. The only person who can do that is God. So the only one commiting a sin is the person trying to act all high and mighty, and making us look bad. x_x I get pissed at those people because when I tell them "I'm religious and believe in God." They go "Are you going to damn me now?" Or something. Pissers.
Ooooh...I wrote a lot. xD Sorry.
EDIT:
By the way, why can't you say God creating the world and the big bang are true? Once if God did a little something to create the big bang? o_O That could be true. God isn't a human, remember that.
