Michael Vaughn is Sydney's case handler at the CIA. Or rather was. Since the downfall of SD-6 and the Alliance they've moved on from Handler and Asset to Boyfriend and Girlfriend. THANK G-D, the moment that Alias Fans have been DYING for. But there's a little more the the story than that.

Michael Vaughn's father was killed when he was eight, by none other than Irina Derevko, Sydney's mother. Yeah, complications right? Luckily, Vaughn was already in love with Sydney by the time this was discovered. Anyway, Vaughn joined the CIA to live up to honor his father. He didn't think that he'd meet the woman of his dreams.

On October 1, 2001, Sydney Bristow walked into the CIA. That's where she met Michael Vaughn, and he became her case handler. He became her confidante, the only person that she could be completely honest with.

There have been a lot of bumps along their relationship: his girlfriend Alice (DIE), a date that went VERY VERY wrong, the stupid word that is "protocal," and SD-6. Of course, when SD-6 fell, what was the first thing that Syd and Vaughn did? THEY KISSED!!! I was screaming for about twenty minutes, watched the kiss about twenty times, along every other Alias fan. At least the girls...
