The first ASWF pay-per-view in over a year kicked off in traditional style, with a pyro blast to end all pyro blasts. The stage was then rocked by Australian band Powderfinger, who let the crowd know what to expect with Treat Me Like a Dog.
Without hesitation the show got underway, with Josh Hussey escorted to the ring by Roger Bossert. He had the ASWF World Title over his shoulder, and when he got in the ring, Roger took the mike.
Roger: B.A.T is becoming a major force in the ASWF. First the World Title, and now we have DJMaC, the holder of the Pacific Title. Tonight my young charger here gets his first in ring clash since being robbed in show one. And they pick none other than resident pretty boy, Charisma Chris Maunder for the part. Well, you're all about to find out just how ugly the pretty boy can be. Josh: I'll mess him up!
Josh Hussey vs. 'Charisma' Chris Maunder
Both wrestlers start with plenty of intensity, with Maunder constantly slowed down by the interference of Roger Bossert. Eventually, after hitting a powerslam on Hussey, Maunder hits a baseball slide through the ropes. The hold up means Hussey is able to kick out of a pinfall attempt. Match continues, but Bossert stays clear of the ring. When Maunder again looks set for a win, he goes up top for a moonsault, but Roger shoves him off!
Maunder kicks out, and Natalie Gruzlewski runs down to the ring with a chair. She hits Bossert, and tosses it in for Maunder. He misses the catch, and gets cracked with the chair by Hussey! Gruzlewski's shocked, but somehow Maunder kicks out of the pinfall. Match continues, with Roger and Natalie on opposite sides of the ring. Suddenly Wizard 1o1 rushes down to the ring. Natalie quickly distracts the ref by lifting her top, and Wizard hits sweet chin music on Hussey! Ref counts the pin. 1-2-3! Wizard 1o1 takes the title and makes for the back.
Winner: Chris Maunder by pinfall
After the match Natalie rushes into the ring and plants a big kiss on Maunder, but he shoves her away and stalks backstage.

We find Kermitt Krocket Q.C and Lance Rats backstage. Kermitt's motivating Rats for his big title shot against Big Schmo, but he hardly looks confident.
Big Schmo vs. Lance Rats for the Cruiserweight Title
An absolute squash match. Rats is absolutely hammered by Big Schmo, who gets a win in under two minutes courtesy of a jackhammer.
Winner: Big Schmo by pinfall
Big Schmo vs. Lance Rats
The big mouth of Kermitt Krocket may just land young Lance Rats in hot water, as the English chipper takes on the dubiously crowned Cruiserweight champ, Big Schmo.
Gay Pride vs. Michael Vella and Steve Simmons in a Table Match for the Tag Titles
The match is full of thrills and spills. Whilst Vella and Simmons rely on their brute strength to dominate the 'weaker' side, Gay Pride keep things fast and isolate Vella incredibly well. Gay Pride look set to regain their titles when they almost put Simmons through a table with their flap-jack variant, but Vella kicks the table aside. Match eventually ends when Vella and Simmons clobber both members with the tag titles, and then powerbomb both through tables.
Winners: Steve Simmons and Michael Vella
BREAK
Backstage we see Luke Sharpe on the mobile phone.
Luke: You can't make it? Oh, you've gotta be kidding.... Yeah, ok. Talk to you later.
The cameras zoom out, and it becomes evident that Luke is in Walker-Bush's office.
Luke: He can't make it, I don't have a partner.
Walker-Bush: Well, I don't want to be an asshole, but you've got to wrestle. It's on the card. Do you know anyone who is free to wrestle?
Luke: No...
Walker-Bush: Wait, I know someone.
Luke: No... not him....I'd rather it be a handicap match. Anyone but him...
Walker-Bush: You hit the ring, I'll find your partner.
The Kebab Brothers are first in ring, but Luke is soon out there. If I Were a Rich Man... the theme song from Fiddler on the Roof kicks in, and here comes JD 'The People's Jew' Marskell! He's got the mike.
JD: Are there any Jews in the house? (Silence) Word to Isaac. (SILENCE) Let's do this shit, and let's do it kosher.
The Kebab Brothers vs. Luke Sharpe and JD Marskell
Luke does his best to take on both Tommy and Maleky (Or should it be Hommus and Tabouli?) alone, and is holding his own. However, when he Sharpedoes Maleky/Tabouli, he stumbles back into his corner and JD tags himself in. The self proclaimed 'People's Jew' wastes no time beating down Tabouli, but when Hommus gets in it's another story. Luke tries to get involved, but the ref holds him out, and Tommy hits a standing suplex for the win.
Winners: The Kebab Brothers by pinfall
After the match JD yells at Luke for not giving him support, which earns him a Sharpedo.
BREAK
Backstage Chris Maunder is in his dressing room when the victorious Kebab Brothers enter.
Tommy: Is there any reason why you decided against kissing Natalie tonight?
Chris: Yeah, the meddling idiot almost cost me my match.
Maleky: Oh, sure... That's your reason. (They leave laughing)
Maunder looks confused.
A highlight reel of the three person feud between Gruzlewski/Boyd and DJMaC is shown to the tune of 'Voices' by Disturbed. It especially highlights DJMaC's torture of Gruzlewski in recent weeks.
DJMaC vs. Natalie Gruzlewski vs. Marshal Boyd for the Pacific Title
All three competitors start things off, and it's clear that Boyd and Natalie intend to make DJMaC's life hell from the early exchanges. DJMaC seems intent on simply getting himself disqualified from the match, but the ref confiscates his title, and at another point- Boyd and Gruzlewski drag him back into the ring. Boyd makes all covers, so it seems Natalie has agreed to let him take the match. The match ends when Roger Bossert and Hussey hit the ring, resulting in a no contest.
WINNER: No contest (DJMaC retains Pacific title)
BREAK
We find MrCharisma backstage, eating a big, greasy kebab. He plays a replay of Brandell's interview earlier this week (can be found under 'Title Match' in the Rumour Mill).
Charisma: Mate, what are you talking about? The only think you have in common with Hulk Hogan are the saggy muscles. I however am a superstar... the Iotolia of Rock and Rolla... a God. As a current champion I would love to take you on in a title match however there is a problem. You are not ethnic enough. Just because you can recite word for word- Joe Doylce's "Shuddupa You Face", have eaten a Greek Wrap that your Mum made or can make a dance song from that Kellogs Cork Flakes free cd rom thing- doesn't make you Ethnic.
PAUSE FOR EFFECT
Charisma: Look at me. I am a champion. Champion kick-boxer, talented Champion runner, champion actor, champion producer and a champion lover. I'm the Maltese Rambo and its not just my muscles that are big. Did you know I won the freestyle wrestling and weight lifting at the 2000 Olympics... I bet you don't because I was that good, I was digitally edited out of the matches and replaced by some random wrestler from the states called Kurt Angle. Mate that was me wrestling but they just put his head on my body.
The steel cage is lowered.
Brandell vs. MrCharisma for the Ethnic Title in a Steel Cage
The match gets underway with Brandell showing plenty of intensity, he obviously wants the title bad. Charisma eventually recovers from the original shock, and begins to apply some dirty moves such as eye rakes and low blows. It's all legal here though. Brandell recovers by throwing Charisma hard against the cage, and begins to make his way up and over. Charisma stops him though. Match continues, with Charisma now making for the exit whenever he can.
Brandell begins to dominate, even hitting a mean splash from the top of the cage. Both are down winded, but Brandell is first up and he attempts to climb out. Wait, Mario's outside and he has some sort of water cannon! He's spraying Brandell's face in garlic sauce! Brandell falls back into the ring, and Charisma climbs out for a cheap win.
WINNER: MrCharisma
Reg Reagan has taken offense, and he's rushing down to the ring with an esky. The ethnic pair flee, but Reagan enters the cage and helps Brandell up. He then leads him out of the ring, and the pair sit ringside with the fans to have a few KB's.
BREAK
We return from the break, and Reg and Brandell are still sitting ringside. A highlight reel of Roger Bossert's return to the ASWF plays.
Backstage we see Chris Walker-Bush warming up with Marshal Boyd and Wizard 1o1.
Wizard: Look, last week you hit me with a chair. But let's face it, I'd rather an asshole I know in charge than one who I don't. You know I've got your back. I don't want Roger booking my cock with his ass next week.
Marshal: I hear that. Just give us the signal and we'll be down there.
Chris: Thanks guys, but I think I've got Roger in a corner.
Roger Bossert vs. Chris Walker-Bush
Roger Bossert clearly isn't up for this match, and he continually rolls out of the ring. Walker-Bush follows him outside, and Roger throws what appears to be sand in his eyes before getting back in the ring. Bossert takes full advantage, hitting a few basic moves on the CEO, and even attempting a pin. Walker-Bush soon regains his ascendancy though, and even goes up top for a swanton bomb. It's poor, but he almost gets the win right there.
The match goes on, and suddenly Josh Hussey rushes the ring. Walker-Bush is ready, and hits a stiff forearm on him to send him down. But DJMaC makes it three on one, and the commissioner is down. DJMaC gives Chris a powerbomb, and Roger gets the win.
WINNER: Roger Bossert by pinfall
Wizard 1o1 and Marshal Boyd rush the ring, and there's an all in brawl, but it's three on two in B.A.T's favour. Big Schmo charges down the ramp, and the fight pauses, who will he help? He turns and hits Wizard 1o1, and now it's four on two. Reagan and Brandell hit the ring to even things, and soon clear the ring of assholes. Wizard, Marshal, Walker-Bush, Reagan, and Brandell then have a few cold ones.
BREAK
Backstage is Wizard 1o1, he's still sipping his can of KB.
Wizard: You may be wondering why I have the World Title over my shoulder. All three of his fans are probably at home saying 'Why does that handsome man have our bum-chum's title on his shoulder?'. Well, I'll answer it for you. I should be champion, and I figure I may as well give this baby a test drive before I take it off Jelly tonight. And now, it's go time.
Jelly Adams vs. Wizard 1o1 for the World Title
The match has a tentative start, but Wizard's exuberant style soon sees Jelly reeling. Just like Rey Mysterio Jr over in the WWE, he's hitting insane moves and it's shaking Jelly's confidence. But he's not champion for nothing, and he ends the run with a stuff clothesline and a vicious stomping.
Match goes for a good period, with periods of dominance from both sides. It never really leaves the ring for long, although Wizard is shoved from the top rope and goes through an announce table. As the match goes on, it looks less and less likely that Wizard 1o1 has it in him after falling from the ladder two weeks ago, and going through a table tonight. Indeed, he limps for much of the match, and Jelly capitalises on this injury with kicks, diving tackles, and even a figure four leg-lock around the corner post. Jelly eventually picks up the win after applying the ankle lock submission to Wizard.
WINNER: Jelly Adams by submission
The show ends with another song from Powderfinger, this time singing their new single Got You On My Mind

If this pay perview was anything to judge the company on, with time surely the ASWF will become the major competor to the World Wrestling Entertainment. The lead up to the ASWF's first pay perview- Bloodbath was considered less than average, however; to the fan that arrived which was 16,327, they were treated to the birth of superstars.
The show began with the traditional pyro techniques display. Special guest performers Powderfinger kicked off the show with their song "Treat me like a dog" which not only set the mood in the audience, but also set the standard to the night.
Bosset and Hussey came to ringside. The presence of "the world champion" gave the audience something to look forward to and they did, with Charisma Chris Maunder inturrupting their speech and kicking off the match. A match which kept the crowd on their feet through a volly moves and a guest interference's by Natalie, Wizard and Bosset. Nobody knew who was going to win. With a superkick from Wizard to Hussey, Maunder claimed the victory and Wizard regathered his title.
WINNER- Chris Maunder by pinfall
After the match, Natalie attempts to kiss Maunder only to be rejected. Even after several attempts for Natalie to kiss me, they both returned to the locker rooms with a "Maunder is Gay" chant.
Probably the dud match of the night although Rats sold well and Schmo controlled the match. Rowland Kelly demolished poor Rats who most feel only got a title match because of Kermit Krocket Q.C.
WINNER- Big Schmo by pinfall
Another match which some called transperrent, Gay Pride took on Vella and Simmons. For what it was worth, Gay Pride brought everything that could to the ring but unfortunatley the 2 powerhouse men were too strong for Gay Pride.
WINNER- Steve Simmons and Michael Vella
We go backstage to find that Luke Sharpe's partner for his upcoming match against the Kebab brother, can not make it. Chris Walker believes he has the perfect partner however don't lead on who it will be. My first thought was Luke's former friend Jelly and so did alot of other audience members.
That man is JD the People's Jew. He cut a hilarious promo and got on the way to the match. A spectacular tag team match against the Kebab Brothers with high flying manuvers as well as tactical tag team wrestling. Unfortuntley for the Peoples Jew and the Sharpedo, the Kebab Brothers had too much tag team experienced and out classed them to score the pinfall.
WINNER- The Kebab Brothers by pinfall
Backstage the Kebab Brothers torment Chris Maunder about not kissing Natalie.
The triple threat match between DJMaC, Natalie and Marshal followed and it was another match which was highly hyped and was expected to be big with DJMaC and Marshal being both rated in the top100 wrestlers of the modern day. The out come was expected with DJMaC holding on to the Pacific title through Bosset and Hussy interference although Natalie came close to an unset pinfall. This fued is not over yet and the crowd responded well.
Before the well awaited cage match between MrCharisma and Brandell, MrCharisma came from backstage to cut a lengthy promo which I assume means a push for MrCharisma and a possible Brandell, depending on this match. Obcousre the bloody wog couldn't shut his mouth and continued to persist how great he is before the cage was lowered.
A match that had it all, brute strenght, agilty and high flying, steel and garlic sauce? Brandell's intensity dominated MrCharisma until he low blowed Brandell to stop his momentium. A highly enjoyed match which could be seen in a best of Dvd later in the year, but a Mario Fenech interference against Brandell made the difference and allowed MrCharisma to score the upset.
WINNER- MrCharisma by escape
Chris W.B is backstage warming up with Wizard and Marshall. The match began with Chris dominating the ring over Bosset, attempting to stop a possible Roger Bosset booked night. He looked to have won it until DJMaC and Hussey made it a 2 on 1 match and with no sign of help backstage, Bosset cleaned up a victory over W.B and now is allowed to book the next ASWF night.
After the match Wizard and Marshal ran down to stop further assult, when Rowland Kelly came down and eventually turning on Wizard and Marshal in aid of B.A.T.... a turn which only looks to go up with B.A.T holding 2 titles and Schmo gaing more air time.
The match of the night didn't disappoint. Jelly against Wizard for the World title. Ladders, tables, insane stunts were some of the things the audience was treated with as Wizard fought to retain his title until a reoccuring leg injury was spotted by Jelly. Eventually this was exploited with Jelly picking up the victory with the Ken Shamrock taught- Ankle Lock submission, which seemed too much for Wizard.
WINNER- Jelly Adams by submission
To end the show Powderfinger performed "Got You Off My Mind" off their new album Vulture Street.
