Title: Extensions Format

I'm going to ask that everyone follows Dave McElroy's (DJMaC) very good format for posting their contracts. That is, break your post up into:
EXTENSIONS
Player Name (Number of years)
OFF CONTRACT
Anyone off contract or being released (bearing in mind that releasing a player means paying out his contract)
RETIRED
PROMOTING
If you're bringing someone from your RSC squad to your top squad, include them here as well as the number of years you're giving them

How can we know who those players will be until we see the next years form guide? I know for example that a safety net player of mine should go up to be 8/7-ish (Clint Greenshields). Can he still sit around in my RSC safety net? How many players from RSC can I offer contracts to? How much will they cost me? This is all still a bit hairy.

If a player moves to a stat level that makes him ineligible for RSC you must either promote him or lose him. An 8/6 can't stay there. The cost to promote an RSC player is free (they retain the same salary until you upgrade their contract down the line) and you can promote as many as you'd like.

So we don't have to name our promoting RSC players until we have the new database? We then name our new safety net players afterwards?

Yeah, that's how it will hopefully work. The sim is still acting up, so I'm talking to Gek (the sim's creator) about it. We may have to 'downgrade' to the old 2001 sim, which will get rid of the interchange strategy but otherwise run the same (plus you'll get to nominate kickers again!)

We'll have the new database before the feeding frenzy begins?
