The draw for the 2005 Crown Casino Risk, the first not to take place in round twenty, has been released. It's a star-studded competition, with six Premier League sides and two Division Two clubs contesting the game's highest paying prize.

The first game of the tournament promises to be an absolute thriller, as desperate reigning premiers Central Coast play host to in form top eight side Sydney. The Oilers have made the Risk their pet tournament, but can they overcome a committed side with Risk experience?

Game two features the struggling Wagga Stallions desperate to avoid relegation as they play host to much higher ranked Darwin. Darwin will like their chances having drawn the out of form Stallions.

It's a sibling rivallry being visited as the Geelong Bengals will host the in form Carnarvon Cowboys. Which Hess brother will emerge triumphant with much more than pride on the line?

And in the final match, two out of form former Premier League giants will meet. Surfers Paradise travel to Subiaco oval to take on Perth as both teams seek to ammend their worrying losing streaks. Can Perth turn their season around and avoid possible relegation or will the Punks edge back towards the top eight?
