Title: Aussie Selection Process
Description: Selection Process

Gotta tell all you aussie boys, i think your authorities selection process comes straight from the dinosaur times.
At the moment Mark Gasnier is arguably the worlds best centre, the only person anywhere near him is Jamie Lyon(also an aussie boy).
But the selectors dont select him, why?
Not because of a lack of ability or quality when he has the ball in hand, but because he plays in England, in the past three months i have heard Gorden Tallis say the process needs changing, and even Big Mal Meninga shouting that both Lyon and Gasnier should be automatic selections, i would like all you aussie ashes losers to let me know what you think.
Jamie has also stated he would love to play for the roos again, but to do this he must return to australia.
Ask Wayne Bennett would he like him in the team........ :cowboy:

Lyon should never play for Australia again...nor should he come back to the NRL...he should stay in the sub-standard competition they call the ESL where he belongs the turncoat bastard.

It's that kind of thinking that's stopped rugby league from reaching the level it should internationally. If we can make an exception for a substandard player like Darren Smith, I don't see why we can't allow someone like Lyon, who has torn the house down both in the ESL and NRL, play for his country. It's just stupid.

I kind of lost respect for Lyons when he walked out on his contract (because he missed home) only to sign a new one a year later. He seems to have found a cure for his homesickness problems though. England must really have that small Aussie town feel to it.
As far as his inclusion in the test side goes. Players know they face exclusion from test sides when they accept the buckets of money thrown at them in overseas contracts. Every player i can remember who has been allowed back into an aussie team from England had already been a longserving member of the rep side and probably deserved another shot as reward. I think the practice stinks and would blood someone who was on the way up myself

while the kiwis select the players from england (they have to to be competitive). i agree with the aussie selection proceedure just liek in the all blacks you have to stay in new zealand to have a shot and theirfore makes our local rugby more interesting. plus it stops england clubs from holding our players back from internationals like the english clubs do with the island countries.
fuck me great britain coach withdraws vainakolo from the tri nations. fuckin scardy cat.

Thanks for the replies concerning king of the castle Jamie Lyon, jamie has also stated in the last couple of weeks that after this coming season he would love a return to Parramatta cos he misses playing with guys like hindmarsh and cayless (his words not mine), whatever jamie does good luck to him , st. helens have got him for at least 12 months more. That will do for me, dink dank do.
The big question is
Would parra have him back?
