Title: Ravens coach applies for NSW Position

Big Mick - October 16, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
Ravens Coach Mick Treacy has officially put in his tender to become NSW coach for the this years State of Origin series. While the coach is based in the South African city of Capetown he believes that the geographical distance will not provide any restrictions on his potential approval.

"I don't believe so. My credentials speak for themselves. I'm an active member of this competition. I've taken a team to a preliminary final in Tassie that was not even meant to make the finals. With them I won a minor premiership. I lifted Capetown from Wooden Spoon to finish mid field last season and the team is rebuilding and we are now going well this season. I feel if I was to become in charge of the NSW team, I would put 100% effort in and we'd come away with the series" Treacy said speaking about his ability to coach NSW.

While Treacy seems to have the credentials he is up against some stiff competition, with Darwin Coach MickyJ and Parramatta coach PJ Marshall all putting their hands up to coach the state side in the best competition the worlds seen. "Those two guys are great coaches and they both have great resumes. I feel even if I don't get the job, I reckon NSW will win the series".

Asked to comment on whether he thought he was better than those two rivals, he stated "No way will I answer that. Its demeaning for both myself and those two coaches. I think all coaches in this competition are equal, and all have proved themselves in some way, shape or form. I certainly hope that the selection panel decide to choose me for the job as I really want it, and will relish it".

The selection panel may have already made their decision with regards to who will become the NSW coach for this series, but there is one thing for sure, should Treacy get selected, NSW will give this series a huge shake and will hopefully come away with the SOO crown once again.

You will be next.

We'll see Rog.

That's it? He belittles your masculinity and you don't flame him?

*Sigh*

I'm bored

Big Mick - October 17, 2005 12:24 PM (GMT)
She didn't belate my masculinity....once I get NSW to beat him, it'll prove him to be the little bitch he actually is...:)

We'll see Rog.

That comeback line says a lot of things about Mick's confidence in the rep arena.

That is a line from a person with little confidence in his ability to succeed with a rep team against the best coach in Qld origin history. He uses that line, so that when he loses, he is not embarassed by stupid boasts he can't back up.

With Micks lack of confidence he could hinder NSW.

While with me as coach anything other then a 3 zip NSW win will not make anyone happy.

Maybe I am just a quiet achiever...I don't want huge accolades to define my poor poor life like you Rog. I feel pity for you. You are coaching a team of bogans, while i'll be coaching a team of fine tuned athletes who will run rampent over your caintoad asses.

If you need an explanation with regards to your non-selection, it's because you'd not proven particularly reliable as City coach in years past. Sides were often late (last year unsubmitted) and very rarely did they include the players who had PoMs (guys would get runs based on 1 or 2 PoMs).

In other words PJ...i'm just better.

Just like i'll be better than Roger...as was proved last week when I kicked the Oilers ass in Sydney.
