A 79th minute try to Drew Campbell has allowed Johannesburg to snatch an 8-8 draw with Katherine. While no side was great or terrible, I can bet the Katherine squad will cop a serving from the coach for blowing the match.
Katherine: Gordon Ross. Adams 1/1, Müller 1/1
Johannesburg: Drew Campbell, Williams 2/2
PoM: Drew Campbell 3, Simon Haughton 2, Alan Watts 1

Hunter have taken Hawthorne to the cleaners this week with a 30-10 whipping. The whole Hunter squad was striking fear to the opposition defence with every touch of the ball, which saw a 6 try to 2 romp.
Hunter: Matthew Petersen, Mark Vayle, Andy Smith, Dennis Scott, Jamie Feeney, Nick Scrutton. Randall 3/7
Hawthorn: Tsai Tui, Glenn Stewart. Delaney 1/2
PoM: Matthew Petersen 3, Chad Randall 2, Mark Vayle 1

Some sharp shooting from former Country rep Brendan Dean has seen The Entrance rise over Ryde in a 10-0 thriller. Both sides displayed some dominate defence but it was the goal kicking of Dean which brought 6 of the 10 points.
The Entrance: Jamie Frizzo. Dean 3/3
Ryde: N/A
PoM: Jamie Frizzo 3, Brendan Dean 2, Isaac Kaufmann 1

Another week and another victory for RSC favourites Sunshine Coast as they took down Port Kembla in a 26-14 fashion. While the Wizards continue to weave magic, many are asking who will be the ones who take them down?
Sunshine Coast: Kade Snowden, Ade Gardner, Nathan Hinton, Matthew White. Brown 5/7
Port Kembla: Reinhard Aust x2. Dorahy 3/4
PoM: Anthony Quinn 3, Riley Brown 2, Reegan Tanner 1

An 80th minute try to Nick Kenny has brought the 2nd draw in this round, with a 10-10 deadlock between Wests and Western Suburbs. The match looked won for the Panthers before Berrick Barnes missed a crucial conversion from practically in front.
Wests: Nick Kenny. Barnes 3/4
Western Suburbs: David Faimu, Paul White. Treister 1/2
PoM: Adam Mogg 3, Joe Clarke 2, Michael Bond 1

Despite causing 23 handling errors, Gisborne somehow managed to take out a 28-6 win over Birchgrove. The match over all saw more then 40 handling errors but it seemed the Heat were able to bounce back alot quicker then the Pistoleers who couldn't seem to fire.
Gisborne: Feriti Tuilagi x2, Francis Cummins, Paul Noone, Richard Whiting. Cummins 4/6
Birchgrove: Jaiman Lowe. Dorn 1/1
PoM: Adrian Mirhalov 3, Paul Noone 2, Jaiman Lowe 1

Some stupid penalities from Cairns has costed them 2 competition points as they went down to Glen Innes 22-16. The match was tight, with 3 tries each but some poor decisions inside the white Pointers own half allowed some easy points to the Magpies.
Glen Innes: James McMannus, Michael Lett, Steve Skinnon. Rovelli 5/5
Cairns: Brooke Martin, Jace Van Dijk, Ben Solomon. Martin 2/3
PoM: Steve Skinnon 3, Michael Lett 2, Frank-Paul Nuuausala 1

Balmain have rolled the former competition leaders with an unexpected 40-2 pounding over Kensington. No one can explain what the hell has happened to the Highrollers but they've hit their 2nd loss in a row and quiet possibly could be out of luck.
Balmain: Tyron Haynes, Tim McGann, Dave Pangia x2, Shannon McDonnell, Rocky Trimarchi, Luke MacDougall. Penningrove 6/7
Kensington: Rice 1/1
PoM: Bryce Gibbs 3, Dave Pangia 2, Shannon McDonnell 1

Although Northern Territory lost, they've got something to smile about when then went down 12-20 against Port Hedlands. All 6 player of the match points went out to Northern Territory players which has shocked many fans and even the players.
Northern Territory: Waisale Savatobua, Jack Sparrow. Randell 2/2
Port Hedlands: Cletus O'Loftus, Edward Talanaga x2, Simon Friend. O'Loftus 2/4
PoM: Waisale Savatobua 3, Junior Moors 2, Reg Randell 1

Some crafty work from the former Fairfield Stallions halfback Jarrod O'Doherty has sparked an impressive 22-6 win for Wodonga over North West. With big brother club Wagga struggling for form, plenty of their lower grade players are pushing for a shot at the top level.
North West: Sam Key. Fisher 1/2
Wodonga: Zebastian Luisi, Jarrod O'Doherty, Clayton Lyons, Mark 'Buddy' Jaques. Dobson 3/7
PoM: Jarrod O'Doherty 3, Zebastian Luisi 2, Michael Robertson 1

Great, only RSC side to have not registered a win.
Next week will be different though!
