Title: New Union Exemption List
MackDadday - September 25, 2005 12:53 AM (GMT)
Players to become exempt from the union cap following the current season due to having completed four or more seasons in the ASRL….Any team with rugby players who think they may have been involved for more than 4 or more seasons that I may have missed can contact me or post here and I will check into it. I’m trying to stick to players I know are in the sim, have been in for four seasons and still have some relevance.

I didn't think we were going to have an exemption anymore...
MackDadday - September 25, 2005 01:55 AM (GMT)
OH PRAISE THE LORD SWEET JESUS YES! i can go back to trading again!!wait a minute - we still have stupid frickin' contracts which make it all so complicated! With stats and salarys going up and down and only trading players with so many years on contracts and bidding and saftey nets and players being poached and i fell like Willy Wonka (gene wilder) on the chocolate river boat trip spinning out....
chriswalkerbush - September 25, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
No, you misunderstand Magro. There's still exemptions, it's just that nobody else becomes exempt.
MackDadday - September 25, 2005 03:00 AM (GMT)
So these players dont become exempt after i asked you two or three months ago. So basically i am to understand that as from now every club can have a maximum of five union players???? Or is this the final list of exemptions? i dont mind keeping track of it.
chriswalkerbush - September 25, 2005 03:16 AM (GMT)
Ah man, I'm scatter brained this morning. Yeah, if you're willing to keep track of it, I don't have a problem with continuing the exemptions. I just didn't want to do it myself.

Should Christophe Lamaison be on the list for France???
Also Brad Thorn and Iestyn Harris are back playing League so should they be on the list??
chriswalkerbush - September 25, 2005 08:01 AM (GMT)
Thorn and Harris don't count as Union players, as they're now playing league again. Lamaisson was a league player originally, is he now in Ra-Ra? Either way - he's been around long enough to be exempt.
MackDadday - September 25, 2005 09:33 AM (GMT)
yes this can be my little forum of love from now on! I am including union/leaguies that come to mind to avoid confusion - just know that any union player who has played league counts as exempt.
by the way - where are you in spain Mr Padds - i'm headed for Ciudad Real in a few weeks to begin work.
Padds - September 25, 2005 09:48 AM (GMT)
We live in Torrevieja which is about 420k from Ciudad Real. Torry is south of Alicante on the Costa Blanca.
What work are you doing??

Me and my girl are lecturing and studying at the university there so we should be there or a quite a while.
