Title: Tigers 84-12 over Qld teams
oiler - September 18, 2005 08:47 AM (GMT)
To Hussey,
Remember the rant which you made about the Broncos? You truly believed that the Broncos would be unstoppable and insulted every team in the comp in the process.
Well, the Tigers gave them a good footballing lesson today. For the second straight year, the Broncos ran dead during the final stretch of the season.
Yes, the Broncos gave us a towelling during the season. But, when it came to the crunch, we won the game which mattered. Don't offer injuries as an excuse either. Minus David Stagg, your team was full strength. You had heaps of former and current Aussie reps on board today. Yet, when it came to heart, we won by miles.
The Broncos are not even the best team in Queensland anymore. So, enjoy your off-season!!!
Roger
PS On a serious note, I actually like the Broncos. Where did they go wrong in 2005?

your days of bragging and laughing will last just under a week anyway roger :P
tigers looked pretty ordinary, they were just lucky that the broncs looked awefull

Haha, live it up, Roger. The Tigers have finally found their time to shine

Roger, one thing out of today was the Tigers were lucky, the Broncos busted your defense that many times but did not support and took the wrong options. If you let an in form Dragons side do that you will deadset be put back into your place. Where as we may have been full strength on paper, you just have to look at the team to see how many niggling injuries there were and players not at full fitness. I was very confident mid season with the way the Broncos were playing but they seemed to have collapsed which I admit. Don't you make the same mistake by gloating or you might find that you will cop it if the Saints give you a hiding!
On the p.s I have no idea what went wrong. I think we need a bit of a clean out with Dane Carlaw the 1st one to get the ass! Wayne Bennett should not stay as coach but move to coaching director and get some new life into the team through someone lik Kevvie Walters as coach. It is the most frustrating thing to see your team have all this potential but choke at the end of the season. I mean it could be worse, we have made the finals every year since 1991, we won in 92, 93, 97, 98 and 2000. It could be alot worse I could be a Souths Fan or even a Tigers fan when the last time they tasted success was when dinosaurs roamed around the world. 5 years since our last Premiership is better then 36 years with no success wouldn't you say Roger?

This is only the second time in my life (that i remember) the Dogs have missed the finals. The 1st time was due to circumstance beyond the players control, this year injury screwed us a lot. The first time i had to witness a doggy free finals i was devastated, this year i know we dont deserve to be there.
Its quite amusing to see just how defensive people get of their teams. I have really enjoyed not even knowing who will play who until the game is about due to start. That said i think the Tigers have been the most improved team this season and i wouldnt be upset if they got a premiership. I would like to see a Tigers Vs Cowboys grand final. I dont know if that even possible.

parra parra parra parra parra parra
hessy - September 19, 2005 11:11 PM (GMT)
it'll be a parra - dragons grand final unless a miracle happens for either the cowboys or tigers. neither can win against parra or the dragons if they fire, there only hope is if they don't turn up.

i thought the saints were boring as shit against cronulla and might struggle against the tigers if they dont get on top of them very early. Brissy screwed up there with at least four opportunitys blown in the first 20 because of poor support play following line breaks. I dont care whose in the final though i would really like the saints miss out as they seem the most boring of the four....
